Dr. Lin, Gan, Hui, Kwong Clinic — Local services in Vancouver

My family has been going to Dr. Gan for almost 20 years. The reception team at this clinic are very rude and a bit slow (I work reception at a clinic myself).

Ever since I was a kid, Dr. Gan dismissed many of my issues to "eat more vegetables". I came to her regarding a list of things I needed checked. One of them was a concern about never being checked for autism and she told me "you have a boyfriend. autistic people don't have boyfriends." She talked to me about the rest of the list for maybe 2 mins before dismissing me. She didn't even ask me thorough questions. All she did was give me a lifelabs form.

After the lifelabs results, I heard nothing back. I moved to another clinic and after my lifelabs result, my new doctor prescribed me and followed up on my issues right away. I ended up being right with all my concerns. My parents still go to Dr. Gan and I fear that my mom's cancer was diagnosed late due to her being...

Several issues over the years with front desk. No improvement. They are extremely rude for no reason.

i) doc had room for new patients, told me talk to front desk. I saw a sign to ask for form and did so - was told to go home and call tomorrow. We called over 3 days - everytime told us to call the next day until eventually they said ‘oh it’s full’ ?????

ii) different doc said she’ll ask receptionists to follow up on this medical centre while i reach out as well. Instead they called me asking for the medical centre’s phone number (the centre only has email available) and proceeded to be angry at me like it’s my fault It was 2024 at this time - idk how they don’t have an email

iii) super outdated system, always rude to people even kind ppl i see being patient and asking for...

Unprofessional. Bad experience . The woman on the phone has absolutely no work ethic at all. If you don’t like this job then get another one!!!!! Don’t be so rude to patients!!!!!!!!! I cannot understand why...
