Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone and if you’re thinking of living here on this small residential side street in James Bay. Expect constant unannounced construction and maintenance noise. I contacted this property management company to discuss the residential impact of the amount of noise being generated from their managed property due to construction and maintenance over the past year. I informed him that over the past year the volume and frequency of noise was negatively impacting quality of life and resident’s ability to work from home across the street in this high-density neighbourhood. I acknowledged that the some of the cumulative noise impact was likely coming from other sources as well and that I would be contacting the city as this is likely also a city planning concern. Management interrupted me constantly and then hung up on me before I was able to completely communicate what I called about. I reported the behaviour to their head office and received the same treatment from them. The individual at head office additionally informed me he had been a lawyer for 30 years, all work was done with permitting and then told me that as I am merely a citizen across the street and not even a tenant of his, "I don't have any reason to even talk to you". This is a company that clearly has no interest in or concern for their footprint or impact on the neighbourhood or community around them, despite their website's statement, “Lantern remains committed to providing high-quality housing, managed conscientiously and responsibly". Had they even just listened and taken the feedback provided with some respectful interest and curiosity, I likely would have walked away satisfied that I was at least heard. Do not rent here! Please save your money and time. Also the apartment building we lived in and payed rent accordingly had bed bugs. (Witch they tried to lie about and hide)They did not fix a single thing the whole 4.5 years we lived there!!!! Jeffery Hayes is a crook!!! He did not replace the broken fridge when needed. He refused to pay us for our food bills for time without a fridge. We were lied too I feel like I have been a victim of another money hungry company...... or clown! Please take this review seriously! Do not rent from Lanturn property’s. They will not fix anything that’s really needs fixing. They will just increase your rent every year and send some Foreign hack job to tell you that your doors and windows are not broken! The laundry machines are broken as well.
