OSO Hair Salon — Local services in Vancouver

I purchased a groupon for balayage for $250 after reading the good reviews and that was a big mistake. The stylist was exactly 1 hour late, then when he finally saw me he said there will be an extra $100 charge because the $250 is only for Bob cut short hair and it will take 6 hours. The woman on the phone informed me that I had extra long hair but the maximum charge could be $70 and she said it wouldn't even be that much because I have thin hair, not thick hair. He said that the woman on the phone was just confused. Also, if my appointment is going to take 6 hours, I don't want to spend an extra hour waiting for the stylist. There is no discount with the Groupon, its just a lure to get you into their salon and end up paying full price of over $400. Also, the salon looked dingy and sub par to other salons in the area. I thankfully got a refund from Groupon.

Response to owner: You wrote a meaningless response when in reality you did absolutely NOTHING to try to resolve the issue and waste more than 1 hour of my time of traveling to your salon and waiting around for a novice stylist who had no idea what he was doing. It never takes 6 hours to do what I was requesting and I was SPECIFICALLY quoted maximum extra $70 on the phone. If she said, it may actually be more than that, I would have never even bothered coming.

I watched your stylist blow dry the client before me for an hour and trust me it's obvious he was a novice. Why should I pay more money because your stylist is slow due to lack of skills especially when you allready wasted 1 hour of my time?

Wow! I just got my hair coloured and cut by Alicia at OSO salon and it was the best experience I’ve ever had at a hair salon. I was looking for a high end hair salon and OSO popped up with such great ratings, I had to check them out. Booking an appointment was easy; I spoke with the owner JP (who was super friendly and professional) and he sent me the pre-forms to fill out online. Once I got to the salon the first thing I noticed was how clean and aesthetically pleasing the salon was. I was greeted by JP and set up in a chair which was very comfortable and great air conditioning. I was treated with coffee and even a protein bar throughout my service and they were very accommodating with making me feel as comfortable as possible. Alicia was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with deciding which colour and tone I would like to go with. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Alicia is a hair magician! The way she got the colour to be exactly what I wanted (and more!) was unbelievable. She was very friendly and personable, super easy to talk to and had a positive personality. After my treatment she recommended me a product that will help keep my colour longer and took before and after photos. I definitely will be returning to OSO and anyone that wants a high quality hair experience should go see Alicia...
