White Spot Dunsmuir — Restaurant in Vancouver

MEET SCAMMER ARRON here in the great White Spot Dunsmuir! I came here to get an online pick up order and he told me he is checking it back, well I was waiting while he checked back but he didn't show up and I was waiting for 15 mins straights sitting in the sofa. Then he came and I was asking did you check the order? He was telling me it will take 10 mins. And after waiting more 10 mins, he still didn't show up with the order and when I asked can you exactly tell me how long will it take? He was like I don't know man, I didn't check it. It will take more 20 mins. So what???? I will wait in total of 40 mins for an order?? Can't I at least know this beforehand? What's the point of waiting 40 mins in a restaurant! I can understand the kitchen can be busy or lazy whatever but they can at least tell the truth that how long it may take!!! Time is expensive isn't it? The weather is getting nicer, I can have a walk or go somewhere else in the meantime but no they keep me waiting for 40 mins for the order!!

Ridiculous stuff!! Ridiculous restaurant! Never coming back!! Picture...

We arrived and waited about 10 mins by the entrance, to the point where I had to go find someone to seat us down. The restaurant was pretty empty and meanwhile about 3 different employees walked past us and no one even acknowledged us by at least saying "someone will be with you shortly"; there was even a lineup at the door. We then got seated and the nice waitress took our order. This is where it went downhill: it had been about 35 minutes and our burgers weren't ready!! The waitress came over and apologized for the delay and assured us the food would be out shortly. By then, the table next to us, which had been seated AFTER us, got their food... Another 10 minutes went by and I told my group this was ridiculous and that we should leave. We got up and I asked to speak with the manager. The manager came over and I explained what happened; he apologized and told us the food would be on the house. I appreciate the fact that the manager gave us the food on the house to compensate for the issue. However, I don't think I'll be going back to that...

Service at 10:45 was too rushed. The abbreviated menu cause me pause. After the server explained that all of the White Spots were going to have this menu, I was offered the pancakes that were not on offer. The pancakes were not as spectacular, smaller less fluffy and different presentation, as I witnessed when I went to a different location with a friend last week. The server took my spoon when hurriedly clearing plate after I ate, so I needed to ask for another to stir my coffee. Altogether it was ok, but not White Spot. I'll stick to the independent places when I'm in the city and Starbucks for my coffee. Still all first world comments. Everything was clean and tasty. With noce people. I think I'm spoiled in the burbs now. 😊 After 20 minutes my server saw me talking a picture, the one I just posted. She said do you want the machine? As I replied, "no I..." boom gone. Back with the coffee pot. So I was able to ask for a fresh cup as my coffee was cold and a spoon. Phew. Good thing I wasn't in a hurry, still my time is mine to choose...
