I'm disappointed with the services. I went to get highlights in my hair. Although I'm not a hairdresser, I understand the process because I've had it done at different salons before. When the hairdresser finished, I realized the color was not right, but I waited until the end. When he was done, I told him I didn't like the color, but he just looked at me, charged me $245 and I gave a $5 tip, as I didn't want to tip for a service I didn't like. I then called Yuka to explain and she said she would call me back. She asked for the hairdresser to call me, but I talked with him instead. He said the color would get better, but I told him it was orange on top and blond on the bottom and it wouldn't change. He offered to fix it, but I didn't feel comfortable with him doing it again. I called Yuka again and explained, but she told me the policy was for the client to stay with the same hairdresser. I said I wasn't comfortable with that, but she said I could come back and have someone else fix it. Today, when I arrived, the other hairdresser told me I would have to pay again, but I asked why since they did the wrong color. I was not at fault. I ended up leaving the salon, disappointed with both the service and Yuka. They did a mistake and charged me for that. I have never seen it in my life a salon like Tsubaki Hair Express they made a mistake, charged me for pay again and didnât apologize for that. My hair is still looks terrible and I have to find another salon and hairdresser to fix it. It was the most terrible experience in my life . If you are looking for a good service, please donât come...
Read moreIt was my worst experience. I tried to book online for hair perm and did not find hair perm. It said on the website âcall to make an appointment for other services.â So I called and the receptionist did not quite understand English and she passed the phone to someone else. Another lady answered my call and booked for me. She confirmed with me about time and the services (hair cut and perm) I booked at the end of the call. When I arrived there, I was told they do not have hair perm service and I was booked for hair colouring and hair cut. I was so shocked. The receptionist even questioned me if I made another appointment with another hair salon as if it was my mistake. They had me in the booking system and it was the only hair salon I called. I was so shocked why she questioned me. So I decided to do just a hair cut. I literally showed the stylist a picture of a hair style that I want. But it ended up looking completely different from the picture. Now I have to book an appointment with another hair salon to redo my hair. What a waste of time and money! I am extremely frustrated because it took me a long time to drive to downtown and paid an unreasonable price for parking. I went through frustration of traffic and finding parking. However, I was more frustrated with miscommunication and the hairstyle done. I wanted a new hairstyle for a special event and now I donât have time to redo my hair as I will be travelling soon after the special event. That means I will have to keep the hair style I donât like for a while. I am extremely frustrated and this is for sure the worst...
Read moreA bit of shocking experience today. I booked an appointment last week for a retouch. To ensure I wonât go over my budget, I made the appointment in person at store and confirmed the price. Today, after rushed into the store for my appointment, I realized that the stylist wasnât the one I asked for, a totally stranger today with not too much of experience. After I sat down, they pulled up a price table pointed at the price that I was confirmed. Sure! Immediately, the stylist said that I have grey hairs so they need to change a few more bucks for that. I have never heard of it but I felt not worth of doing anything about it, so I agreed with it. A bit later, he pointed at another part of the table and said that he will also charge me another 15 dollars for drying. I told him that this is not what I was confirmed. Plus , I have been to this place several times, and I was never charged extra for drying when I donât need styling. The manage than showed up, ignored whatever I said about I came in and confirmed the total price before I booked this appointment, she asked me to pay or leave. To this point, itâs not even about the money any more. I felt cheated and disrespected. Trying to live in a pricy city while being understanding is not easy. I choose the store that Iâve been to, asked for the person that I had worked with, and worked with their best schedule, yet I left feeling humiliated with not at the least a sorry for misunderstanding. I know that I canât do anything but just want to remind people: think about what are you actually getting into coming...
