I ordered a set of 6 Bugatti steak knives online and was very disappointed to receive two with indents and the other 4 scuffed. It took two emails, with pictures, to receive an answer about them where I was told they should not be like that and to send them all back. Once received at the store the polite employee told me that the two are definitely damaged, and asked if I'd like a refund or new shipment. We continued to discuss the knives and I was told that the knives are all scuffed from the polishing process at the factory. I asked for a refund. I had to pay for the the original and return shipping. The owner was incredibly rude as soon as I told him why I was calling. He eventually agreed to reimburse 50% of the shipping after I told him I'd be posting a review about the poor service, but only reimbursed 25%. He told me he can't keep up with Amazon. I googled the pasta to purchase in Canada and The Tuscan Kitchen was one sight. I found the web page very well laid out and easy of use. The order process was easy. I was notified in detail of my shipping status and in my opinion this is where I noticed the company truly cares in their customers, the goods where packaged in extreme good care, I really appreciate this aspect as many times one orders delicate items and it comes damaged.. I made an online order, close to $100 value yesterday, but soon after decided that maybe I could rather visit the store later to see and buy the item directly. I called the store requesting canceling my order within less than an hour of placing the order, and explained the reason. The staff said they charge 2-3% cancelation fee but I noticed today that they actually charged almost 4%.
It is rather rare these days that store charging cancelation fee especially when customer quickly requests cancelation with a valid reason.
