I rented from Spicy Ski Rental for one day to hit the mountain. When I rented I asked the important questions. âWhere do I return my equipment and what do I do with my shoes?â
The answer i was given was âyou bring your equipment back to the other location and donât worry your shoes get brought over for you.â
There was no clarification that there is a âreturn locationâ the words used were âother location.â
Okay, so end of day I see the other location, I bring my stuff. And the customer service I got was absolutely horrendous. One staff said yeah you can bring it here just write your name down. Then I was told to take a seat. Which I waited at for a moment to see if there would be any info from anyone to do with anything. Then I went to the front and said âhey, hereâs my boots, where do I get my shoes?â The reply I got back was the most condescending possible and said ânobody is going to move your shoes for you, they are where you left them?â To which I replied I absolutely was told they would be moved for me. The tone of the conversation was egregious.
Given the information that I received, the actions that I took made total sense. The insulting tone at the end was the cherry on top.
Absolutely garbage.
Staff was too busy chatting with themselves about their partying the night before. More than enough staff on site and appalling customer service. I own businesses. Customer service at my businesses are amazing. Quality communication is important. Professionalism is crucial. Everything sucked from that...
Read moreThis used to be my go-to place. The guys were so polite and nice and this season the guy and the girl that work outside at the front are extremely rude. They've lost my business unfortunately. There's a way to tell me that their wax guy had gone home early. I went a second time for my 5 cousin's skis and boards in case maybe they had a bad day so i wanted to give them a second chance..and then the girl that was working there this week was extremely rude and told us to go next door not caring about bringing business there. There is a way to talk to people and we were extremely kind and my cousins from Montreal we're surprised how rude the employees were. So now the next door ski shop is where I go. They even gave me a complimentary waxing to make up for the rude employees at spicy's. Now that's...
Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience with Spicy Rentals during our recent trip to Whistler. I rented a snowboard for my daughter, and unfortunately, the quality of the equipment was awful. The board was in terrible condition and gave her several cuts as she tried to use it. Not only was it unsafe, but it was also incredibly heavy, making it impossible for her to enjoy her time on the slopes. She couldn't even use the board for more than 45 minutes before having to stop due to how uncomfortable it was and the boots too. I expected much better quality for the price, and to make matters worse, the staff didnât seem to care when we brought up the issue. I would not recommend Spicy Rentals to anyone, especially if you're looking for safe, quality equipment for...
