Grandma’s 75th birthday Dinner: Was grandma’s birthday, so 13 of us reserved the private room for Sat May 19 Had to ask for a kids menu 4 little kids . The waiter actually had to check with the manager before he brought them. Forgot 3 sides beets kale risotto so the first ones were cold and the rest were warm Waiter was ok but not special Service very slow, had to wait long time for dinner. Maybe the kitchen was short-staffed, but this was May long weekend so they should have been prepared Ordered 4 Halibut - only 1 person finished - cooked perfectly but not much taste - wasn’t hot but didnt want to send it back because it took too long to come Steak tasting plate were nicely presented but soso in flavour - Overall, nice room, service slow, food below par, sides were very disappointing for a high price, overall very expensive fir what you get. 3 star restaurant. We had an incredible Father’s Day dinner at The Grill Room at Fairmont Chateau Whistler. The setting is elegant yet cozy—perfect for a special family night out. Our server, Paul, was exceptional—attentive, knowledgeable, and so thoughtful with our kids, making the whole evening smooth and enjoyable.

The food was outstanding from start to finish. We especially loved the crab cake, scallops with pork belly, and the warm, fresh bread. The 20 oz. Canadian prime ribeye was the star—perfectly cooked and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. We also discovered a new favorite in the Little Engine Pinot Noir, which paired beautifully with the meal and gave us a newfound appreciation for BC wines.

A Memorable Family Dinner at the Fairmont Whistler Grill Room

Our recent dinner at the Fairmont Whistler Grill Room was simply spectacular! From the warm and inviting ambiance to the outstanding service provided by Maddie, we felt right at home.

We started with a delightful seafood platter and Hokkaido scallops, both beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. For our main courses, we savored duck, steak, fish, and gnocchi, all expertly prepared and delicious. The impressive wine selection from around the world perfectly complemented our meal, and the service was timely and attentive.
