Oh where do I begin. Iāve been to this Milestones several times and they canāt seem to get their act together. However the bitter sting of disappointment grew stronger with the latest experience at this disaster of an establishment.
Arrived at the restaurant at 5:55pm to find out that they had given away our 6:00pm table to someone else. After waiting by the door for them to find a solution for around 10 minutes we were finally seated in a secluded part of the restaurant. Now you may think that it would be nice but the issue is there was barely any service(the overly stressed manager was taking care of us). The most disgusting thing was that we had a full view of one of the dirtiest kitchens I have ever seen. There were fries and food bits splayed all across the floor, that it really killed my appetite. It took at least 20 minutes for our drinks to come after ordering them. I had the chilli chicken bowl and what couldāve been a great dish was so overwhelmingly spicy that it completely killed any flavour in it (Iām half Indian so I can handle my spice). This place has servers running around in chaos, sweaty managers stepping in food on the floors and overall had an unwelcoming vibe.
All in all, the only consistency this restaurant provides⦠is being consistently terrible. Thanks for listening to my rant and please rethink going to this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreProbably the worst meal Iāve had in memoryā¦likely the past 5-7 years. My husbands chicken sandwich had more mayo/sauce than meat/bun. His beer was flat - was the first time Iāve seen him not drink even half a beer. I ordered the chicken rice bowl (substituted tofu) - with sweet chilli sauce. I love sweet chilli sauce so was admittedly excitedā¦not to mention really hungry. Unfortunately, it was so sickeningly sweet it was inedible. After scarfing a few bites I was overwhelmed by the sweetnessā¦so I pushed the coated tofu to the side and ate a few bites of riceā¦the sauce had done itās damage and even the rice was too sweet. To their credit, they took my meal off the bill - I didnāt ask for that but when the server asked how I liked it (keep in mind he told me it was āreally really good,ā), I told him how sweet it was. Our daughter had the chicken strips from the kids menu - she enjoyed them - but before leaving, she began feeling a massive headache come onā¦so bad that instead of going for ice cream, as planned, she went back to our hotel. Sheās not prone to headaches so we were a bit surprised that happened. All in all, I canāt recall a worse dining experience - maybe ever. Sorry guys...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe reserved a week in advance. Thinking that maybe that would give us priority for a decent table. But we were seated in a table in the middle of the restaurant with staff or patrons buzzing by the table literally every 15-30 seconds. Not relaxing at all. When we asked if we could be moved to an empty and quieter table by the window, we were told it was being held for a reservation? Food came - my steak was well done as opposed to the medium rare I had ordered. I am not in the habit of sending food back, and the server did not check on us until we were far more than half done our meals anyway. No asking if weād like more drinks (we had Bellinis and mine was empty), meaning a loss of revenue for the restaurant as we each would have had another. I still tipped 18% as the server seemed nice and I would have had to manually enter a tip % below 18% in the machine. I always try and maintain politeness so I did here - did not make a fuss, realizing that my online review might be a more effective way.
We come to Whistler every summer for 3-4 days, and have eaten here each time. I wonāt come back. Too bad there is no cactus club here, would...
