I had a pedicure and facial and those services were amazing as was the lovely person that took care of me during my services. This post is a warning to avoid the Spa at all costs unless staying at the hotel. My booking email specifically states if you get a facial or massage that you can use the pool area. The email then referenced that the Spa itself (not the pool) may have blackout dates. After receiving the email I called the hotel 5 times to try to get in touch with the spa before getting someone in the Spa (who told me to arrive an hour early so I could use the pool and confirmed my appointment). The concierge at the hotel had no information she could provide when I reached her prior to the Spa desk itself (I called her after my repeated calls to the spa with no one answering). When I arrived for my appointment I was treated very rudely and told "locals" cannot use the pool (I am not a local). I asked to leave and was told not to leave and that "this one time" I could use the pool. I asked to leave again, and was made to understand I would be charged for services if I did so. I was extremely uncomfortable and although the facial and pedicure were great the rest of the experience was horrible. I called a car from my hotel to pick me up and left quickly at the end, talking to an assistant manager for the hotel on the way out about my experience. That was Wednesday. As of today (Saturday morning) I have received no follow-up. There would be really no issue for me if the details of my appointment had been made clear and if rude comments had not been made to me. I am staying at another hotel and just would have arrived later for my appointment and hopefully not have been treated so poorly. I recommend the Spa at Nita Lodge highly, where they are welcoming and take...
Read moreI visited the new spa during my recent stay in Whistler. I was appalled to discover that cellphone usage was allowed in the changing rooms and in the Relaxation Lounge.
Upon arriving in the changing room, phones were out and being used. None of the staff who were present in the changing room discouraged it.
When I went into the Relaxation Lounge, which was not relaxing, I saw that everyone except me had their cellphone out. Two customers were taking pics. Someone's phone kept receiving notifications. Again, not one staff member stopped it even when they came into the lounge to greet their guest. Ugh!
I thought maybe the "after treatment," Relaxation Lounge would be better. Nope! A guy had an iPad open typing away, and his companion's phone was alerting in her robe pocket.
I searched everywhere for signs or something that may say "Cellphone usage in the Spa is Not allowed." None were anywhere.
Needless to say, I will make sure to ask about cellphone policy before I book again. This $415 Signature Treatment was a waste...
Read moreOur esthetician (Ana) was very lovely and professional and did a great job. Can’t say the same about reception. We were not offered lockers or robes when we checked in for service (and was only offered them when I went to the desk to ask after my spa service). I was also told that we would have access to the pool and hot tub at the time of booking (which turned out to be not true, which is fine and understandable during COVID) however, I did not like the accusatory tone that reception gave to me when I asked about that. We had planned a lovely evening of relaxing post long hike and it was completely ruined by the lack of service and professionalism from reception. I expected more from the Four Seasons spa and will not be returning. Look elsewhere for professional and...
