maxiMall — Local services in Hong Kong

Tai Yuan Lou is a restaurant that serves Shanghaies food, and they opened up on 24/11/18 in Maximall. It was so new when i visited that it did not have it's English name displayed anywhere.

I have attached a photo of the restaurant’s business card which is in Chinese, but the address is in both English and Chinese.

The decor is quite modern, but it do resemble Shanghai in it’s old days. The artifacts on the walls seems to be from a dated era in Shanghai also. The chairs and seats are a silver gray color, and can take one back to the old Shanghai Tang days. The i1 item of decor is the table lamps. Classic.

The food is quite good and fresh. However, the restaurant have not fully prepared for all the food listed on the menu. Give it time.

The staff is very nice, very friendly and attempts to be professional. The unprofessional(ism) exhibited by the staff is normal for a restaurant opened only for 3 days.

So give it time. The attempts made by all is deserving of the 4 star rating for a new restaurant.

There are not too much to walk around even though there are several floors. Two fast food chain is at both end. Plenty of shops...
