Stanley Tin Hau Temple — Local services in Hong Kong

There are a few temples in Stanley including this one dedicated to the Goddes of the Sea (Tin Hau). The building was originally constructed in 1767 but has been renovated a handful of times in the past. It is located next to the Stanley Plaza shopping complex and the historic Murray House

What you will find here is traditional Chinese temple architecture in the form of a brick style building construction, stone lions guarding the entrance which is surrounded with Chinese characters. There is a joss stick holder in front of the temple. Within, there are other traditional finds including shrine, statues of various gods that line the walls and offerings.
