Cafe Grouchos — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

Went here ages ago. Cafe Grouchos has been around since 2006.

Apart from this restaurant I wanted to dine at the one next to it to. It was hard getting to the middle restaurant because you were shoved the menu before you could even walk to the other restaurant. Since I was going to dine here for the mini burgers it was forgivable.

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★ Fries with meat sauce: The meat sauce tasted like the filling in the shepherds pie, it had carrots, minced beef in tomato sauce sprinkled with spring onions and finely grated cheese. I felt that forks should have been given because it was extremely difficult trying to eat the chips with skewers and there was still plenty of meat sauce which I couldn't finish with the skewer! I know chips are finger food but it was too hot to use my fingers that day. ★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★ Mini turkey burgers: The patty was grilled on a surface that previously had beef on it so there was strong beef juices on it as well. The service was good, staff was very nice. The price was really friendly considering the food stall's located in Stanley where everything is more expensive than other districts.

The food was above average. I love the Grilled Squids the best, and think that's a must try. The burger was juicy and with great amount of ingredients. Deluxe Nachos came with two sauces (Greece cream & Salsa)and covered in melted cheese, providing various flavours.

Located in the Stanley Waterfront mart, the the row of little restaurants with outdoor seating. Has a fairly comprehensive menu with Hong Kong regulars such as fried rice/noodles plus spaghetti, large burgers and hot dogs. Service is friendly and fast; take care to sit on chairs that belong to the restaurant that is serving you or they will ask you to get up. Also serve beers (which you have to pick up from inside).
