!!Yummy Gelato but Staff is RUDE and RIGID!!

I was at this Venchi location on Sunday July 7, 2025 at around 16:45 with my two kids. We presented 3 mini ice cream vouchers. Each entitled two either cone or cup. Despite my son’s love for ice cream cone, he went for the safety option of having his in a cup. However, my gelato was not safely clung onto my cone hence it fell off after one bite. The staff there was very kind to offer me the same gelato in a cup (although it was much smaller than the original one that was fallen, anyway it’s a nice gesture they offered).

Few more minutes into enjoying our gelato at Venchi, I saw a customer left with a cup of gelato and a cone stick upside down into the gelato. I then asked the staff Mia why she did not offer me both cone and cup, and that I would like to have my son’s cone. Mia firmly rejected my requested and insisted that I should have told her upon ordering the gelato. She even “offered” me and said she would give me to me next time I order. How would I know this was an option without her telling me? Also, our vouchers are entitled to cone which costs $15 more than the cup. I could not understand why she was arguing with me when I was asking for something that I was paid for. After around 3 minutes of non-stop argument, I stood up and asked her why she would be so rude to me. Surprisingly she suddenly changed her mind and offered me the cone that belonged to me. However, I was so mad at that point that I did not want to take it from her.

Not sure why she insisted to argue with customer when Venchi is charging $78 for one mini gelato and I was getting 3 at that time. Anyway, yummy gelato but poor service and definitely will not recommend unless you are in the mood of...

I just went to the Venchi store at Hopewell Centre in Wan Chai (Date: 13th Apr 2025 evening). I don’t know the names of the staff, but I bought three mini ice creams with waffle cones. Right before I stepped out the door, mine accidentally fell to the ground. I was just about to leave and let it go, but one of the staff quickly made me a new one. Both of them were so kind and polite — I really appreciated the gesture, especially since it was just 5 or 6 minutes before closing time. Thank you so much for the warm and thoughtful service. It truly made me feel the warmth...

Great gelato! Chance upon this place and decided to take a break since there’s a sitting bench for customers. I opted for their recommendation which is 1 scoop each of the pistachio and the 75% dark chocolate. OMG, these were fantastically creamy and nice.
