We stayed here two nights and really liked it. The Pension looks like an old dairy compound with a gate at the street. It's located just outside the old city center and very convenient. The hostess is very nice and helpful and speaks English. The room was airy, old-world, and large, nicely furnished. The double bed was two twins pushed together, which is evidently common here. Our room was a bit loud - I would ask for one that is not over the street, but we slept well. Breakfast is large and varied but all cold except coffee or tea. Extra charge but not expensive. The bathroom was adequate. My complaints here were the noise, the ridiculous towels - just larger than a hand towel - and I missed having any way to make a hot drink in the evening, but this may be common in the Czech Republic. The boards in the floors were very wide and the beams had wooden pegs, no nails. Although the pension is just ten minutes on foot from the cathedral, it is situated across the river and the area is quite peaceful. You can park your car in an enclosed lot behind a huge gate. Complete safety to be sure. Judith the landlady does an incredible breakfast for very little money. She is also very nice and helpful. She spoke English and German with us. I should also mention that the wifi...
