Pension City — Hotel in okres Plzeň-město

Pension City is great located - in the heart of Plzen. It is located only a few hudreds meters from the main square with wonderful cathedral, not far from Pilsner brewery and from Viktoria's football stadium, only steps from famous traditional pub Na Parkanu. Pension directly faces large Hotel Courtyard Marriott.||I choosed my stay in Pension City in Plzen mainly because of the offer of free parking. Unfortunately, there was probably somewhere written in add by small print that free parking is available only in very limited amount. Pension City has 2 parking spaces (if at all) and they have been still occupied. Fortunately, the city parking house Rychtářka, which offers cheap and convenient parking, is only about 200m far away.||The description of the offered rooms is at least misleading - Economy room offers a bathroom in the room - that's true. But WC is in the corridor. So pay for a better room which includes both - bathroom and WC as well.||The common areas of Pension City do not look good at all. Rooms are located on the floors (the house does not have elevator) and the rooms are probably after some remodeling, but they don't look very well. The price of accomodation is...

We concur with other guests' comments. Location is brilliant- within easy walking distance of all the main sites, lots of good restaurants , even for things further afield eg the zoo- there is a tram stop 50m away. We were lucky- we got there reasonably early from our last destination and got one of the two reserved parking spaces, and left our car there for the 3 days of our stay, as we were told if we moved there was no guarantee it would be available.||Our room was actually quite small- pretty much the bed and not much else, and a tiny bathroom- and, like other guests , were amazed that our private toilet was down the hall( and also very small- thank goodness we aren't badly overweight- we wouldn't be able to move in it). Breakfast was quite good, and staff super friendly and helpful, and the lady who did breakfast, even though she couldn't speak much English, was super sunny and friendly. In balance, because of the location, and it was only for 3 nights, it was quite acceptable and we did enjoy our stay. Actually good value for a major city, with excellent location and good...
