Avenue Pallova 28 Hotel — Hotel in okres Plzeň-město

We have been here for New Years Eve, so I don’t know if this had an impact on the hotels performance, but I haven’t had such a disappointing stay in a well-rated hotel for quite some time. It’s a bad 3-star hotel at best. At check-in the receptionist told us that the garage is full and we could only feed the meter in front of it. The prices were not accurate (390czk/day) and pretty expensive (meter actually showed 690czk for one day!!). There is a garage nearby where we paid 260czk for our two-days stay, the reception is aware of it but was not telling us about it, actually sad, especially as it’s just 2 minutes longer to walk and certainly safer to leave the car there. The first morning we woke up from very loud noises, which sounded like they were renovating above us. It turned out, as we got a room above the breakfast room assigned, it was other guests moving their chairs around on the floor. We had to listen that concert from 7am till 11:30am. After breakfast (no recommendation by the way), I was complaining about it at the reception, which told us that they couldn’t offer us no solution, the hotel is fully booked. I asked them to apply some padding underneath the chairs (which should cost them a couple of euros for the entire room and could have avoided my review). Unfortunately, this has not been done, even though I asked another time on the 31st and the guy at the reception told me that they are going to do it at the end of his shift and her colleague would be aware of the problem. Okay, if you have the audacity to lie into my face several times, here we go.

All in all, the only good thing I can say about this place is its central location, but that’s about it. Ignorant and lying staff, bad breakfast, very noisy house (which could be improved so simple and cost-effective), and very pricey for what we’ve got. We will certainly avoid all branches of this chain in future and will warn friends and family of...

Terrible experience. The pictures of the Superior Deluxe Double show a room with a sofa. The couple we are traveling with got that pictured room. We did not: ours had no sofa or chair (only a very small, flimsy desk chair made of plastic mold). My complaint was dismissed by the manager, who said that since the room detail description didn't say a sofa was in the room, it is not promised. The pictures don't mean anything. No compensation offered. Another room was offered for the second night, but, of course, moving is unpleasant at that point.||Adding insult to injury, our room was not cleaned the next day. We left the hotel at 10:30 in the morning and didn't return until 8:30 at night. We left the "Please clean the room sign" on the door. But it was untouched.||And the room is 'modern', in the worst sense of that word. Night tables that are lower than the box spring of the bed. A bathroom sink that is so low as to be uncomfortable. A European style shower, but the single glass shield is so narrow that water cascades onto the floor outside of the shower. ||Something good to say?
