This museum gives an introduction to Jewish History in Estonia from the first weiteren mentioning to the rebuilding of the present Jewish Community. The information is focused on the Jewish life in Estonian from the 19th century, during the two World War and the the Soviet era, but encloses the contribution of Estonian Jews to society in fields of science, arts, economy and culture to paint a wider picture than the portrayal of Jews as victims.
The discription of the displays is only in Estonian and Russian, but audio Guides are available in more languages (e.g. English) with the choice of having a brief overview or a long tour (information obtained can be Chosen by selecting the Display Number). Written historical material can be obtained as well, the entry is otherwise free.
