Tallinn University Dormitory Karu maja — Local services in Tallinn

Awful place! I decided to stay there during Tallinn summer school 2019 and regretted about it after a few hours. Woman on the reception desk is quite impolite. Ok it’s not 5-star ok, but why she looks at you like you’re asking her for free bed in her own flat. It’s dormitory but I paid for it. Of course it’s not the main reason why I didn’t like it... 4 or even more people who come as your roommates’ guests share a tiny bathroom and even tinier WC which is something like 1 meter x 1 meter. You also share a kitchen with something like 4 meters. And there are people who have nothing common with summer school and older than you for 10-20 years. Maybe it’s ok, but when you’re 16... and they put to your room a 28+ y.o man from Nigeria...I think there’s should be a rule to put only peers together. Anyway it’s a disgusting place which almost crashed all my plans and mood for summer, but fortunately I was able to changed my route and travel to other European countries. The only good things about this place is it is near city centre. However, the service is bad. Many times the receptionist speak unpolitely only because of i am asking for the key for laundry room. Those who live in first floor dont have the key and have to ask for them everytime go to laundry room. I also feel that i dont have the privacy since it is already three times the staff suddenly open my room without wait for me to open it. Maybe because it is cheap that we treated unfairly? I choose this place only because the university recommend this place and i already pay for three weeks stay, otherwise i will move to other place. Even the staff said to me, many people paid for three weeks but leave soon. So whats wrong with...

If you want to get a place where you want to spend your whole degree in a best living environment then believe me this is a that kind of place to live. They will give you each and every facility in a reasonable and affordable prices. The best thing about living here is the chances of interaction with other students came from all over the world which gives you a chance to live with them and to learn their cultural and traditional aspects.
