I must say it left quite an impression on me. With its luscious aroma and decadent flavors, it is easy to see why Francois Pralus Chocolaterie is recognized as one of the city's finest chocolatiers. I would give this place a 4 out of 5 stars rating, and here's why.
Upon entering Francois Pralus Chocolaterie, the ambiance is warm and inviting, with a pleasant staff that greets you with a smile. The quality of the products offered is simply exceptional, with each chocolate creation crafted with great care and attention to detail. I particularly enjoyed the rich and intense flavors of the chocolate truffles and the silky smooth texture of the chocolate bars.
However, I did find the seating area to be slightly uncomfortable and cramped, which detracted slightly from the overall experience. Additionally, some of the chocolates were a bit too sweet for my taste, but that is a matter of personal preference.
What sets Francois Pralus Chocolaterie apart from other chocolatiers is its commitment to using high-quality ingredients sourced from all over the world, resulting in unique and tantalizing flavor combinations that are simply irresistible. The passion and dedication of the chocolatiers are evident in every bite, and it is truly a feast for the senses.
If I had to suggest an improvement, it would be to expand the seating area and perhaps offer more variety in terms of chocolate flavors. Nonetheless, Francois Pralus Chocolaterie is an exquisite facility that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Lyon. The impression it left me was a desire to come back and indulge in more chocolate delights, which speaks volumes about the quality of the experience.
In conclusion, Francois Pralus Chocolaterie is an exceptional place that is definitely worth a visit. It is a haven for chocolate lovers, and the impeccable quality of the products is a testament to the expertise and passion of the chocolatiers. I am grateful for the experience and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a sweet and memorable...
Read moreI was determined to try the best chocolate brioche in Lyon so I got both from the two famous shops - AMF and Pralus, on the same morning, as they are only within 5 minutes of walking distance.
Size: about the same.
Price: AMF at €4.5 and Pralus over €7 for individual size brioche and around €15 for large brioche ✅ AMF
Texture: Pralus' is softer yet it bounces nicely. AMF's dough is a little dry. ✅PRALUS
Look: Pralus' has a golden color (maybe due to more butter?) and more chocolate chips both outside and inside the brioche. AMF's is pale. ✅ PRALUS
Taste: Parlus' has sweet taste, both the dough and the chocolate chips added. But it tastes much softer yet chewier. AMF tastes healthier. I suspect they use dark chocolate chips so it's not as sweet as Pralus. ✅ PRALUS

Read moreI was visiting Lyon yesterday and I wanted to try "la paluline" originating in your local and almost historical establishment. It was tasty. My point is; eventhough praluline doesn't contain coservatives, it contains glicose syrup, in addition to sugar, as it was written in the ingredients part. When pralaluine was created in 1955, I think that glicose syrup most probably was not in use so commonly by local enterprises. I would like to know why today's praluline recipe contains...
