Lived and worked here for almost 2 years, yet connected and in touch with this place. Cité des arts [that's how its insiders call it] is one of the biggest artists residency in the world, having more than 320 ateliers for mid carrier and established artists, also for graduated art students who are granted the scholarship and/or grants. This unique place is also offering constant artistic events for visitors in forms of "open studio", "performance", "concerts" and exhibitions. If you're visiting Paris, this place is a "must" in your list. It's located between Marais and Île Saint Louis which makes it the best location so far. When you visit cité des arts, you'll see a remaining and discreet heartbeat of artistic and cultural heaven that once was visible all over Paris. J’ai eu la chance de découvrir la Cité Internationale des Arts à Paris à l’occasion d’une sortie de résidence du groupe haïtiano-béninois AYITCHEWÈ. Leur spectacle était tout simplement magnifique : une belle énergie, une fusion d’univers qui m’a profondément marqué. C’est un vrai privilège de pouvoir assister à des créations artistiques dans un lieu qui encourage et accueille des talents venus du monde entier. Au-delà du spectacle, j’ai aussi pris le temps de visiter certains espaces de la Cité. L’endroit est vaste, inspirant et pensé pour favoriser les échanges entre artistes de disciplines et d’horizons différents. On ressent vraiment cette atmosphère de créativité et de diversité culturelle en se promenant dans les lieux. C’est un espace unique à Paris, qui mérite d’être découvert, que ce soit pour soutenir les artistes en résidence ou simplement pour s’imprégner de cette ambiance artistique...

That's a good place to see some contemporary art, you can even meet the artists if you come for the opening which are mostly open to the public. On the outside the building doesn't look great, On the inside it's not the best either, but the selection is quite good, and the venue is on 5...
