Subject: Membership Incident – EasyGym Palais Royal - "Update"
I have reviewed the Reply from Ownerhip which creates an improper impression. I only wanted a Suspension of my account, and I never wanted a Cancelation (as fully explained below). Upon the refusal of the front desk employees to suspend my account (for whatever reason) they could have properly suggested cancelling my account and return when I felt better (as my account was on a month to month basis). Instead they provoked me and created ugly situation by unjustly stating to me me that my account was on a long term basis and could not be canceled. That was untue and confirmed by the emial I recently received from EasyGym canceling my account. Again, they created an ugy situation which could have been avoided. It was unjust and I had a right to defend myself.
As for the double standard photo, I would suggest you first speak with your employees who took my photo.
Lastly I would be happy to meet with corporate management of EasyGym, London, by Zoom to review the proprity of my problem and I will admit and apologize, if I am wrong. But I don't believe I am wrong, and I suggest you read other social media reviews where you will find other recent similar complaints.
I’ve been a loyal member of EasyGym Palais Royal for over a year, consistently training and paying monthly. As a 76-year-old CrossFit competitor, fitness is essential to my health. Recently, my doctors instructed me to pause training due to medical issues pending surgery.
Today, I visited the gym with a doctor’s note to request a temporary pause. Instead of empathy, I was met with arrogance and a dismissive attitude. My request was immediately rejected without discussion. When I asked to cancel instead, one employee falsely claimed my membership was yearly and non-cancellable. This was untrue. Only after a second employee intervened was the cancellation confirmed.
Their behavior was unprofessional and discouraging—particularly when they refused to give their names. I had no choice but to document the incident by photo.
I hope to return in the future, but only in a respectful environment. Until then, I will not attend while those employees remain at...
Read moreCleaners make the stay worth the pay but receptionists, mainly the rude man from the evening shift, and the breakfast ladies are hard to swallow, truly low customer service oriented.
We asked for Bottles to be in the fridge for one day and pick up in the evening of my partner’s birthday, and no one even tried to facilitate or help at all.
We killed a bug inside the room, considering a very wild park is on the back of the hotel and killed it with one of our pair sandals, which had fallen over the window of our room, then we asked for the early shift receptionist to pick it up for us around 9:00am, and she asked for us to collect it during the evening. We arrived at 22:20pm and crossed the reception to pick it up, the early and evening receptionists said to try the pick up during the next day when we are actually checking out. I told that and the evening male recepcionist said, “sorry if the sandal would not be available to you before you check out.” Very poor service and support. Better receptionist workers should be hired for supporting this hotel just like the cleaners do....
Read moreGood gym! I was there when it was Club Med Gym, now much better. Too bad that the guy who is at the entrance is so terribly unfriendly and exceptionally uncommercial. I arrived, telling him that I had received 2 invitation passes, was using the 2nd one and would then take a yearly subscription. He told me that I could not use the 2nd pass, as I could only use it once, even if the ladies who work there and are very helpful, had given me 2 passes. He took the pass, saying that he would sell me a daily pass, after I had told him that I was planning to take a yearly one! Frustrated by his behaviour, I left and will most likely not take my membership there So instead of getting a new member, he prefers turning former members away. Bad experience with this new...
