Casa Festa is probably my best dining experience as a tourist so far. Casa Festa is located in one of the busiest and liveliest neighbourhoods in paris in the 1st district just a couple of minutes away from Louvre. I am telling you all this to make it clear how extraordinary this restaurant is. Those that have read about my Rome reviews know that I had a rather underwhelming experience there because of all the tourist trap restaurants. Casa Festa has every opportunity to be just like that, a tourist trap that lures in the gullible and scams them out of their money. Instead Casa Festa is a gem. Cozy and warm and welcoming is what you experience from the very beginning. The staff were attentive and very friendly. They provided us with english menus immediately and presented the day's dishes too which looked really good. The place was full of locals and lively. The prices were very good and affordable. I ordered two amazing linguini dishes that were spicy and rich and just divine. They take card so it is good for any tourist that might not have cash around. The two staff that worked when I was there were very nice and even provided us with a few treats that really made us happy. I can say that Casa Festa is probably one of the easiest recommendations I...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant as it was conveniently close to the Louvre. Overall, the food was okay.
We ordered pasta dishes with a creamy tomato sauce, which the server confirmed was possible, but when they arrived, they came in a different type of sauce. The server did acknowledge the mix-up with a colleague and spoke to that colleague, though nothing was offered to correct it.
The pizzas weren’t to our taste—they had large chunks of ham and a cheese that didn’t have the usual flavour or texture you’d expect on pizza. The seafood pasta was better, with plenty of small shrimp and a generous portion, though it did contain large pieces of tomato. The bread served alongside was great for pairing with the pasta.
The highlight for us was the salmon pasta, which we would recommend if you visit. Another nice touch was the complimentary orange juice on arrival.
The atmosphere was lively, with very chatty servers. Overall, it was decent but a little pricey for the quality, though perhaps not unexpected for Italian...
Read moreWe didn't have the best experience here but I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt.
The quality of the food was great, cooked like traditional Italian with strong flavours. I have to mark it down for finding two long hairs baked into the pasta. It gets four stars as I didn't complaint to the waiter and give them a chance to correct, I just cracked on - but for some people this would ruin the meal.
As for the service, very friendly and jokey. When it came to paying, we split the bill. I clearly said 25 and they charged 35. My friend did the same but challenged the over payment. I didnt make a fuss as paid first a d we sorted it out internally within the group by someone else underpaying their share.
At the end of paying, when we asked how much was left to pay, they said 30 but we worked it out as that didnt sound right snd was only 11. Again, putting this down to working too fast / language barrier, but made us all...
