Residence du Louvre — Hotel in Paris

This is an apartment building with no service of any kind! We arrived after check in time which is 3 pm. We were given a code to enter. We had no soap of any kind, no hand soap, no bath soap, and no paper products (paper tissue, paper towels for the kitchen) except for 2 small rolls of toilet paper! There were bath towels but no hand towels. After a long trip, we had to find a grocery store to purchase necessities! There is a small fridge, a tiny dishwasher that takes forever, and a microwave/grill combo and counter-top stove but we couldn't operate either as there were no instructions. Our unit was on the ground floor (0) so we had no view and it was very noisy in the evenings as the cafe next door seemed to get busy until 1 am. We actually had confirmation for the unit on the 5th floor, but that unit was rented and we were assigned the unit on the ground floor. There was no concierge to ask questions or to help with reservations. ||||Would we go back again, yes in a heart beat! Why? The location is ideal, it is central, and is so close to the Louvre and several Metro stations within walking distance: Les Halles, Chatelet, Louvre-Rivoli, Palais Royale! But next time, we would purchase hand & bath soap, paper products, bring hand towels, toilet paper, etc. I would give the location perfect marks, but service is rated at zero (perhaps lower than zero). I recommend to the management to check supplies of soap, toilet paper, paper tissue, and provide hand towels as well leave instructions for the kitchen appliances. They could also be helpful in providing information about grocery stores...

Wouldn't advise using this property. Had a booking for late July for full family. Few days before we arrived I was contacted to say my credit card was invalid. I had been using the card so was surprised to hear this. Called my bank who said it was an issue with the property and they should be using "3D secure" to authorise payments and this was now EU legislation that they must use this. I then called the property and told them this, the response was "we do not have this, use another card". They suggested I use another family members credit card which I was not happy with. When I said this wasn't possible I was told I could use paypal but I must pay as "friend or relative"...I wasn't happy with this either as payment is not secure when you select this option so there is no protection. After all this the property cancelled my booking with less than 24 hours until we were due to visit Paris, leaving us scrambling around to find alternative accommodation. Customer service...

I was nervous because I had read some bad reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. They do ask for the payment through a link a few hours before you arrive but it is super simple, I like that they give you the code and you don’t have to be planning to meet the host anywhere. The apartment is super well distributed, clean and decorated, plus extremely well located. Super centric between work and all my favorite areas so I was able to go for nice walks after work. There are some nice bars around, including one right in front that has great service from breakfast till night, which for me was super convenient and there was no disruption because the apartment is well equipped with...
