We stayed here for a couple of nights last week. On the plus side, the location was great for access to the Louvre, no complaints. The room seemed clean. I've seen other reviews mentioning the small rooms, and I have to agree with those, we were pretty pressed for space. Now for the weirdness...the room seemed...unfinished? The faucet on the sink was so loosely mounted, I had to reach under and hand-tighten the nut so the faucet could be used without literally flopping around. There were no hand soaps in either side of the bathroom, but there were 4 shoeshine kits stacked next to the sink. When I tried to call down to the front desk to ask to use an iron and ironing board, I found that not only was the room phone not plugged in, but there didn't seem to be a phone outlet in the room at all. When I mentioned this to the woman at the front desk, she just shrugged, like it wasn't strange to have a completely unusable room phone. And I wasn't allowed to take the iron to the room for "security reasons" and so had to iron my shirt in the hallway next to the elevator...It's possible that Paris has a problem with serial iron thieves I guess, but it just seemed odd. Overall not a bad stay, just be prepared for some weird policies and having to walk down to the front desk if you...
Read moreThe location of the hotel was perfect as far as being extremely close to the Louvre, shops, cafes and the metro station.
The hotel was clean and stocked daily with teas, toiletries, clean towels, etc. we found our room to be extremely small and difficult to maneuver around the bed and the bathroom was very tight. The hotel room was located on the 1st floor (one up from the main level) and overlooked the active and bustling street. It was sweet how the windows opened up completely and had almost a little Juliet balcony so we could overlook the street and people-watch while enjoying some wine.
We had one issue one morning where our toilet would not stop running and pouring water (kept draining thankfully so no overflow). We mentioned to the hotel lobby attendant before leaving for the Louvre, came back and it was still running. Mentioned this issue again and someone immediately went up and fixed it right away.
The hotel lobby staff were kind and helpful when needed. The breakfast which was included in our price was perfectly fine for what it was. It was simple and basic, including French style scrambled eggs which I adore, ham/bacon, croissants, breads, butters, cereal, tea, coffee and juice.
We would stay here again but seek out a larger...
Read moreA good hotel for central Paris, close to attractions and public transport. We were there for business, and it suited us very well as our meeting locations were very nearby.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful, even for requests like change for the vending machine.
Small negative points: Shower was very tiny, I am UK size 14/French size 42 and 175cm tall, the door squashed me when opening and closing, and I could not bend down to pick items up in the shower. So if you are bigger than that, be careful! Not very soundproof, we could hear other people easily. But I did not have trouble sleeping. No plug socket by the bed, only at the desk. Bring an extension cable if you like to work on the laptop in bed, or want to have the phone close by when sleeping.
Big plus points!: Comfortable beds and soft pillows Delicious continental breakfast also with hot scrambled eggs and some meats. Very clean, bathroom triple plus clean Helpful and nice staff Best location possible Vending machine in lobby is good for snacks and drinks.
In total it was a good experience and I recommend to our company to put us here again. Also recommend to people coming for city break as you are right near the Louvre and many...
