IDM MERCERIE — Local services in Paris

Yesterday, I visited the IDM shop to purchase some crochet threads and lace, but unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience. This wasn’t my first visit; I had previously come to the shop and bought crochet threads. While the collection is not extensive, it is well-arranged and features some nice options.

This time, I was there with my sisters to explore their crochet thread selection. After picking a few colors, we moved on to look at some lace. While browsing, a lady who I assume is either the owner or a staff member approached me and asked what I was looking for. I politely explained that I was still searching for lace and needed time to decide. However, she continued to press me, repeatedly asking if I wanted "this one or that one."

As a customer, I value the freedom to explore products before making a decision. I assured her that I would purchase if I liked the product, but her behavior didn’t improve. She later turned to my sisters and rudely said, "If you want anything, just purchase it or leave." Her tone was harsh and unprofessional, which was not only upsetting for us but also caught the attention of other customers, making the situation even more uncomfortable.

This kind of behavior is unacceptable in customer service. It left a negative impression and ruined the shopping experience for me and my sisters. Customers deserve patience and respect, as their satisfaction directly impacts a business’s reputation. I hope the management addresses this issue and ensures better customer service...
