Just Art ! Paris — Local services in Paris

My wife and I just did this and were very pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. We didn’t know what to expect, but figured it would be a quaint few hours learning about art and doing some hands on work in a work shop.

Boy were we wrong! This is so much more, and I strongly recommend it for anyone who is interested in a truly unique experience in a very private setting. I won’t give it all away, but in a nutshell, you are invited into a private jewelry studio near Le Marais (nice neighborhood in Paris) and begin with some wine and a light meal. You’ll meet Mona during this time, a fascinating women full of love and passion for people and art. She is fluent in English so a plus for non-French speakers. After eating, Mona takes you to the studio, where you literally design jewelry from scratch. I have zero experience with jewelry so I was sure I would not really find much fun in this, but before I knew it, my pencil was running crazy (wine probably helped!) and next thing I knew, I was using tools and machines I’ve never used before and actually created a model set of earrings. What we built were just the shapes out of light wood, and Mona will now spend several weeks to turn those models into the real thing and then send them to us.

All in all a very good experience that is off the beaten path and very much something we will never forget....

This experience was fabulous, truly unique! Mona was quite accommodating to my schedule. There was one other lady in my class. We sat and enjoyed a delicious lunch and chatted like we were old friends. Mona gave us the run down of the class, I already knew I would be paying extra because I love dangly earrings and those aren't included... but I was there for it!

We worked together, the three of us, to find the best colors and shapes for myself and the other participant. They gave me advice, Mona and I gave the other lady advice. We were able to create and color our pieces on paper, "laminate" them to put them on our ear for an example, then we made 3-d copies. Now Mona is going to create replicas of the pieces we created in her unique style.

She did tell us it takes about 3 months to get the piece, but shipping is included. I cannot wait to get my piece. It's not exactly what I thought I would've have done when I walked in, but I'm really confident and excited with what the three of us came up with for me. I will definitely wear them proudly!

This was a great experience! I would do it again! They also both gave me recommendations for my trip based on their experiences. I walked away more than satisfied!...

I am from Bangalore, India and was in paris for a short trip. I looked upon Airbnb experiences and immediately booked the session. I went without any expextions, and I loved it. There were so many surprise elements, not just in terms of jewellery, but in many other ways. The experience was satisfying. What I liked was, it wasn't all work. There so much of cultural exchange, that you learn so much. Mona is a sweetheart and her family as well. They went out of the way to make me feel so comfortable and help me in certain things. It's the beginning of a friendship. It's really difficult to sum up as there were so many moments. If you have a day in Paris and want to spend the day in a creative way, please spend time with Mona. You're going to go back home...
