I've come here twice now, the first time ordering Blueberry pancakes and chili. The blueberry pancakes were massive and came out piping hot. They were delicious. My only mistake was not upgrading to the real maple syrup- something I will have to try in the future. Then again, fake maple syrup is quite American now isn't it. The chili was alright - nothing like the Dennisons brand I was hoping for but still tasty. The major downside was the wasps - since there is always syrup at the tables we were constantly fighting wasps landing on our food and us. The second time we gave this place a try was a month later on a Sunday. I ordered the Brunch menu and, learning from my previous mistake, ate indoors this time. I ordered a hot chocolate (delicious), orange juice (refreshing), Mexican omelet (disappointing), house potatoes (meh), and pancakes, which were mediocre after my experience with the delicious blueberry pancakes before. The Mexican omelet was disappointing because there was something like a canned Pace salsa inside instead of real salsa. Furthermore, sitting indoors gave me more the feeling of the place being a bit dirty. All that said, I still give it three stars and it's a good attempt at bringing a piece of the US into a French space. Not quite the transformative experience I read in other people's reviews, but I'll probably find myself back here to try some other dishes.

Can’t complain about the taste of the food but some other issues. The banana French toast Advertised as coming with banana and a caramel sauce, unfortunately there was not a single banana on my dish and a teaspoon of sauce. We asked for more of the banana caramel sauce as it didn’t seem like there was much at all and they gave us little two slices of bananas cut in half with a tiny bit of sauce 😅 the taste was great but surely could have done a better job when it’s advertised as a banana French toast. I took pics of the dish when it first came out and then after I put the extra sauce on top. The cheese fries were amazing, real cheese used and poured not just ontop but was mixed through out the fries. Our waitress with the yellow and green jersey seemed really disinterested in being there. When asked we questions she just looked annoyed but somewhat warmed up towards the end of the meal. Made it awkward when needing any sort of service from her. Over heard her getting annoyed at the table next to us when she asked “what temperature” the lady wanted her burger and the lady wasn’t understanding as typically you say “how would you like your meat cooked” When paying they have a QR scan code at the table and if you don’t pay attention it automatically gives a tip. Unfortunately wouldn’t come back even though the food was ok.

Plenty of us love (or need) a protein-laden breakfast; for this, I head to Craig Carlson's Breakfast in America. This time I visited the BIA in le Marais & chose the brunch offering called CC's Mess: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cheddar, avocado, peppers, potatoes, and (I opted out of these two) onions & mushrooms. They kindly complied with my request for salsa. It comes with toast & they very kindly heated the butter for me because I love melted butter on my toast. It's paired with a medium-sized stack of pancakes; I asked for blueberries (myrtilles) to be added ("On the side is a big thing for you." When Harry Met Sally) & it was delish. Lovely & perfect. And just like home. Yum! As for the atmosphere, it's that classic cozy American diner feel with a lovely addition of jazz standard stylings of songs like Green Day's "Wake Me When September Ends", The Smiths' "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out", & Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy".

What’s worse than bad service is frustrating service. I used to recommend this place to many and today i recommended it to my friends for us to eat there. Nothing went right, our waiter was trying his best but you could see how this place is only still in business because of the quality they once had.

If there’s a queue, don’t bother it’s really not worth it you’ll regret the wasted time. (i used to queue all the time for it now I wouldn’t go even if my meal was free and instant) We waited 45 mins at first (which is not their fault at all) for a table of 6. Once it was our turn we were just waiting for a couple to leave to be seated on a table of 6. A couple came and just sat and the lady with the glasses just said well they’re two so it’s easier to sit them there. They just didnt have a solution for us after 1 hour if wait or anything to say that was coherent until a manager came and found us a table. After that, the food was BELOW average, nothing was coming together or it came wrong. So disappointed because it used to be my favorite spot for american breakfast however it was embarrassing to recommend them to my friends. I work in the hospitality industry and do not enjoy bashing a place but this one just does not care anymore about making you happy or providing a good experience. It used to be 100 times better...
