PIERRE MARCOLINI Paris Seine Store — Local services in Paris

Never been to the store, so this is my review on online orders for people who want to place one. They changed the interface, and it's purely a nightmare, in contrast to the previous one. I buy their products for friends in U.K., and I have spent at least a couple thousand dollars in the last six years. Despite of this, none of the previous orders show up in the record, including the one I did as late las last Thursday (Dec 15th). One of the recent order was supposedly shipped on Dec. 13th, but there is no sign of arriving. The other order I did on the same day did show up on Dec. 15th or so, so this is a mystery. And when I make an inquiry, absolutely nobody responds, despite of their automated response ("We will do our utmost to respond as soon as possible."). When Nina was around, she promptly responded, but since then, the customer service is non existent. There are other things about their interface (i.e., addresses found by an autofill function are "not found," have to choose the shipping date a few times even if you choose one, etc.), they really need to make improvements in customer service and the ordering interface. If not, I may start ordering from somebody like Pierre Hermé, who I have ordered and has very comparable products.

Update (12/23/22): All they did was sending a message along with the link to tracking. The message content was "This is beyond our control, blah, blah, blah." No apology at all. Waited for two more days, and no sign of the package. It is very wrong when a company advertises a product that it cannot deliver. And what is a point of delivering a Christmas advent AFTER Christmas if that shows up at all? So if you live in UK, do NOT place an online order from them because they will not respond and/or just watch the storm to pass.

Another update (Feb. 4, 2023) My friend did get the package on Jan. 4, well after Dec. 11th or so when I placed on an order. PM asked if I wanted a voucher, I replied either a refund or voucher, and they issued a voucher. Of course, the code did not work. So I asked another, and guess what? It did not work. I asked for a refund, and they have not responded. Seems very incompetent to put it mildly. And they have not fixed the website issues. For example, I am asked where to send, and after "confirming" the destination, I am asked the exactly same question again. What...

Snooty lady behind counter didn’t initially seem to know what ‘sans gluten’ or ‘gluten free’ meant but proceeded to assure me quite confidently that everything was gluten free except items with nuts as nuts apparently aren’t GF (news to me???)
