My husband and I are experienced travellers with Airbnb having used them in many countries and it was from airbnb that we found Studio Prestige. We also have our own listing on Airbnb so we are well acquainted with the spirit of Airbnb and exactly what makes a 5 star review. Unfortunately their listing in St Germain des Pres does not achieve a 5 star rating. First of all if you have looked through this listing on the Airbnb website you might think Michael and Johanna were the people running the listing, especially as they write the following on their introduction. “We appreciate the spirit of Airbnb and are looking forward to meeting guests. We will all make sure our guests feel welcome.” This listing does not show any appreciation for the spirit of Airbnb : nobody meets you and nobody welcomes you. The listing is part of the Studio Prestige company, which may be owned by Michael and Johanna but they do not meet you or welcome you. I have to say when we arrived and saw the outside we were worried as it is not attractive at all and quite dirty, initially when we entered we felt better but gradually our disappointment grew. The listing is not accurate. There is no dryer, there is no hair dryer; there is no smoke alarm or carbon dioxide alarm. There were some pieces of a metal clothes airer rack but as it was broken with pieces missing it didn’t function. New batteries are needed in the remote controls for the TV. There is an unpleasant smell from the toilet which is stained. There is no door on the shower area so water runs out onto the floor and there was no plug for the bathroom sink. Water in the bathroom sink tap and kitchen tap was hot but from the shower it was luke warm. The floor in the whole apartment needed vacuuming as when you walked barefooted you were picking up bits of dirt on your feet. It would be good if they placed a mat at the entrance to wipe shoes as people enter and before people took off their shoes inside. If you sit in the lounge you are aware of noises in the street but you must accept this when you consider the location and you are made aware of the location before you book. However, the noise from the flat above the bedroom is much more annoying and disappointing since you are asked to make no noise after 9:00pm. From the flat above we could hear talking, laughter, a clock chiming, furniture being moved around, water running and pots and pans being used. This would go on until midnight and then start again around 7:00am. A kitchen is something else we like to use. There was some salt and pepper and a tiny jar of oil and one of balsamic vinegar. There was not enough cutlery, there was no towel to dry the pots, cutlery and glasses and there was no draining board for the washed items. The pans supplied were similar to those people use when camping. Although we had booked for two there was only one wine glass. There were no sharp knives e.g. to slice a baguette or tomatoes. Some cutlery was dirty and had to be washed. I have to say that the mattress on the bed was comfortable (the pillows were not) and the location is excellent. Because we could see the location was excellent before we booked, we were happy to pay the price for a place celebrating “the spirit of Airbnb”. However, this listing fell far short of the spirit of Airbnb. We could have stayed in a hotel, just round the corner for £7 less. The hotel price included breakfast. The purpose of a review is to make comment and give advice about making things better. I note that when reading the reviews for this place many of the things I’ve mentioned have already been mentioned. It is a pity no action has been taken to remedy the problems. I know I will never be booking anything run by Studio...

Stayed in Le Marais, Paris 9 Rue Saint-Anastase—to be exact.
Booked an apartment in Paris for 4 nights:
Prior to booking, they confirmed TWICE in writing that a 1pm check in was not a problem and stated « the apartment is ready for you »
We arrived at 1:13 pm and messaged them to get the entry code
They responded at 1:38 pm providing an incorrect 9 digit code
We informed them the code was not working
At 1:48 pm they provided a different 8 digit code that was also incorrect.
We informed them the new code was still not working and asked if a digit was missing
At 2:32 pm we were finally provided with the correct 9 digit code and got a phone call from their representative who did not even apologize for providing multiple incorrect codes.
Furthermore the representative was very rude and stated they have multiple messages from their numerous apartments to respond to and we were not a priority These are documented facts on the Airbnb platform messaging system!
And then THEY have the audacity to leave a review about US on AirBnB that we have been “discourteous to THEM at all times”. And that they “don’t usually post this kind of review but we are sorry to have to deal with uncomfortable treatment for NO REASON AT ALL as our service is impeccable, prompt, and attentive at all times” We have time stamps to prove that their service was NOT prompt, and not attentive, We asked if it was possible to check in early at 1pm, to which they agreed to in writing TWICE! We wanted to be certain that a 1pm check in was not a problem. And yes, they were kind enough to give us an early check in, but that does not make it ok to leave a negative, untrue review about US claiming impeccable, prompt and attentive service. It was anything BUT that and they should take down the review about us making their customers look bad when all we wanted was the correct code to enter the apartment. They are not even competent or detail oriented enough to provide the correct number of digits. How is this impecable? The review they left about us was unnecessary and spiteful-what a disgusting way to treat their customers and do business. DONT USE STUDIO PRESTIGE if you don’t want to be slandered from behind the keyboard!
By the looks of the other 1 star reviews, I wouldn’t be surprised to receive a response from Johanna or someone else who will not accept responsibility and turn the blame around on us and disregard the true and real experience we had...
Read moreI recently had the misfortune of staying at one of Studio Prestige apartment and I feel compelled to share my appalling experience to warn fellow travelers. My family and I had booked a 2-bedroom apartment for a 4-night stay, paying almost $2200USD, only to encounter a series of nightmarish issues that marred our entire trip.
Firstly, upon our check-in around 10pm, the property had no electricity (the rest of the building is perfectly fine, only the unit I reserved was black-out). This set the tone for a stay filled with inconveniences. We tried to help the young lady to check the electrical panel and switches, the electricity just wouldn't turn on. After 2 hours of trying to figured out the issues, we were then directed to a 1-bedroom apartment instead of the 2-bedroom unit we had reserved. The 1-bedroom apartment was not only outdated but located in a bizarre and somewhat scary caged area – far from the relaxing vacation atmosphere we anticipated.
Despite our concerns, the management did not move us back to the 2-bedroom apartment until the evening of the following day. This delay disrupted our plans and left us frustrated and exhausted.
The real ordeal began when we discovered that the 1-bedroom apartment had ice-cold water during the middle of my shower in this freezing winter weather, we don't even shower in ice cold water during summer time, let alone winter time. My daughter and I was ill as a result. Despite bringing this serious issue to the attention of the staff, they did nothing to address the situation or offer any form of compensation. They completely ignored this issues on the cold water despite I mentioned to them numerous times.
We requested a partial refund for the first night because we paid for 2-bedrooms and the inconveniences caused by the property's failures, but to our dismay, our request was flatly denied. Considering the hefty sum we paid for our stay, the lack of empathy and refusal to acknowledge their responsibility is both disappointing and unacceptable.
To top it all off, we didn't even get to sleep until 2 am on the first night due to the electricity outage during check-in. Any human could imagine the nightmare we went through but not the managers at this company.
In conclusion, my experience at Studio Prestige was nothing but short of a nightmare. I strongly advise against choosing this company for your stay, as the management's lack of accountability, coupled with the numerous issues we faced, make it an unacceptable choice for any traveler seeking a peaceful and...
