Came here spontaneously for dinner with some colleagues. Ordered: vitello tonnato, focaccia, and caprese salad as appetizers. Vitello tonnato was ok, they added sundried tomatoes on top but other than that it was the best of the meal. Focaccia isn’t the focaccia we know, but rather pizza dough with some baked tomatoes- was still okay. Then the salad was disappointing- half a burrata and half a tomato with some arugula in the middle- pretty standard. Then for dinner we got the three tomato pasta- this was totally ok. I ordered the beef tartar and it came with fries. The fries were too greasy and should have been left to dry before serving. The tartar: the beef did not taste fresh enough to eat- it was missing the egg, the Dijon mustard and general spices. The meat was also too large and should have been in smaller pieces. It was just basically ground meat together on a dish with a sauce- I also never had a tartar with sauce before and it didn’t help the flavour of the tartar itself. The service was okay and they were kind enough to take the tartar off the bill. The wine and the negroni was good. I would say the restaurant has potential but it’s missing its passion for good Italian food and wine.

I recently dined at Pratolina Restaurant in Paris and had a pleasant experience overall. The food was good, with well-prepared dishes that showcased quality ingredients. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable dining environment. The staff was responsive and attentive, ensuring that our needs were promptly addressed. However, I did feel that the restaurant could offer more value. Specifically, the pasta meals should include the option of a protein. For example, the sea bass would make a great pairing for the truffle pasta. This addition would elevate the dining experience and provide more comprehensive meal options for patrons. It is evident that the owner has been listening and making changes based on past reviews. From my own experience and what I have read, there have been noticeable improvements. I hope they will consider my recommendation for adding protein options to the pasta dishes. Overall, Pratolina is a solid choice for a good meal in Paris, and with a few adjustments, it could be even better. PS: I am a small person and I purchased 2 meals (sea bass & truffle pasta).

Amazing. Highly recommend! We were staying nearby and I wanted a decent restaurant not too far. How lucky was I! The staff are friendly and accommodating. We had focaccia with straciatella to start, so fresh and creamy. Then for mains we had the truffle pasta…..to die for and the salami pizza which was so delicious. The dough is so good and the tomato sauce is perfect. I couldn’t knock any of the flavours. The spritz St Germain was refreshing and the Chianti was a great choice. All reasonably priced. This is a busy spot so I would advise to book as there was a regular queue forming. Very easy to book on their own website. Single diners are welcome. Definitely give it a try. Enjoy.
