This place brought me back to my childhood. If you're looking for quality Haitian food, look no further than Riz Djondjon!

Initially when we looked at the menu before going, I was a little disappointed because I didn't see my favorite dish, bouillon soup on the menu. However, when we walked in, a board said that today's special was bouillon, so I immediately ordered it without looking at the rest of the menu. After my excitement wore down, we finally looked at the menu which had so many of my childhood favorites. When you're spoiled with choice, it can be hard to choose! I eventually opted for the tassot cabri (fried goat). I asked if they could give me a side of legumes (stewed vegetables with beef and crab), and they were happy to oblige for an extra 10€ as the waitress could see the excitement on my face!

When we got the food, I immediately felt the food was authentic. The right spices, flavors, and textured were there in everything! The portion sizes were huge as well, which means you need to go there hungry! The only complaint I have is that the pickleez (spicy cabbage slaw) was cut too large and not as spicy as what I remember, but it was still delicious and a nice condiment for the rest of the meal. All in all, I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to experience real Haitian cuisine in Paris! Next time I'm here, I'll...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Riz Djondjon is a true gem in Paris. The moment you walk in, you can feel the pride and authenticity behind every detail. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and alive with the spirit of Haitian culture, and the staff treats you more like family than just guests.

The food is outstanding. The namesake dish, Riz Djondjon (black mushroom rice), is cooked to perfection — rich, earthy, and deeply flavorful, paired with tender meats and vegetables that balance the plate beautifully. Every bite feels like home cooking elevated to restaurant quality. The flavors are bold, authentic, and unforgettable. Portions are generous, so you leave fully satisfied, not still hungry like at many other spots in the city.

Service was excellent. The staff guided us through the menu with enthusiasm, happy to explain dishes and share their favorites. They brought an energy that made the evening even more enjoyable. The drinks paired perfectly with the meal, and dessert rounded out the night in the sweetest way.

Riz Djondjon is more than just a restaurant — it’s an experience of culture, flavor, and hospitality. Whether you’re Haitian and craving that authentic taste of home, or you’re new to the cuisine and want to discover it, this is the place to go. Paris is...

I was on vacation in Paris and decided to have dinner at this Haitian restaurant which had some good online reviews. I went in and immediately my mood was changed. Ignoring my intuition, I proceeded to have a table. The waitress was extremely unprofessional just like many French waitresses to had met. The worse part was not the slow service, but her nasty attitude after she had spilled a what was supposed to be a cocktail called “Gonaives” (mango juice and ice) on me. That untrained / unprofessional waitress knocked down the drink while delivering the “Tasso beef” I had ordered. She left and never returned to clean up the mess she had created. Instead, she kept making excuses for her stupidity and unprofessionalism. I definitely DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. The Service, drinks and food, and place are...
