The worst treatment I’ve ever received in Europe. This store should be closed and the attendant arrested. I’ve been in this place with my wife, and he was extremely disrespectful and aggressive on us because she touched a box of sweeties from the store to see what the box had inside. The attendant (a middle age man with black hair and a mustache) shouted at her, saying that she would need to pay for having touched the box. He adopted such an aggressive and menacing posture that she felt forced to agree to pay. Even after telling him that she would pay, the man continued to yell at us. At this point I told him that he should stop yelling and being aggressive, particularly with my wife, but he ended up being more aggressive, pushing my wife and I and closing the door of the store with us inside, telling that he would keep us inside until we gave him money. I finally managed to call the police, while my wife was paying him, but he expelled us from the store after we paid. So we went to the police station and pressed charges against him (after more than 2hours at the police station). We sincerely hope that the Reims’ authorities will do something about the situation and him. I wish there was a negative rating I could use for this shop. The jerk that I interacted with, who based on other reviews I believe is the owner, is a rude little man who absolutely doesn't care about his customers. I had my phone in my hand while looking at one of his items and he aggressively approached me saying "no pictures" and started insulting me because there is a small sign in the door with a camera icon with a slash through it. After a heated exchange, he backed down like most big mouth bullies do when someone stands up to them. He did this in front of other customers. I rarely post reviews, especially negative ones as I am a believer that everyone can have a bad day. This is clearly not the case here. Avoid this place if you visit the Cathedral. I've never felt compelled to leave a review of a souvenir store but the store owners made me feel so unwelcome and uncomfortable. Just stared at me and my cane when I walked in, no attempt to greet me. I took one photo of the bottles so I could look at the labels more closely and immediately I got yelled and told to delete it. I tried to explain that I had a vision issue but the staff person just stood over me till I deleted it.

I recovered the photo later and realized the prices are all a fair bit higher than what I found in another shop. Maybe that’s why they’re so...
