Exactly what we were looking for our first night in Reims. Right in the middle of town with nice outdoor covered seating - it was cloudy with a chance of rain but it never did. Really nice setting with great service. She spoke perfect english and was helpful with recommendations. We wanted to try a few champagnes and there were a dozen good choices by the glass very reasonably priced as well as a daily flight of two for 25 euros. While exploring the area after visiting the Reims Cathedral of Notre-Dame, we stumbled upon this charming restaurant and wine shop and what began as a Champagne tasting quickly became an experience to remember. Meeting winemaker Sophie Cossy was like tasting the spirit behind the bubbles… Elegant, genuine, and full of joy. Cant remember being at such a Place with a service that bad. No one was sitting outside the Terrasse and I wanted to have a Table for two in the sun. The Service said we cant sit there as the table is for four persons. The funny thing is that we waited in Front of the local for this table as there Wer two other people setting there and finally leaving. Cant find the Words for such a negative vibe and...
