My mother was shopping at your filial at Nuremberg main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) today (04.08.2018). She was a very regular customer of your branch. She bought a lot of things like meat, salad etc. She wanted a buy a bottle of water and she drunk a bit of that water. And she forgot the bottle where it was. Suddenly, she reminded that she forgot that bottle there and wanted to collect it back. But she couldn't find it. She wanted to ask it but she can't speak german. She went to the cashier for pay the things she bought. She was placing the things in her bag. Then suddenly one of your workers (I couldn't find her name out) asked her very unkindly that she stole that water although she made her shopping completed and while going back to home. This worker told her to come wth her and she took my mother to a back stage of your branch. She showed her the bottle and meanwhile an another worker came there as well. My mother told her that she can't speak the language and she only can speak turkish. My mom told your turkish spoken worker that she can pay the amount of water with her credit card. And without any reason your worker declined this offer. Your worked treated her like a robber and called the police. Although my mother only forgot the bottle there and she wanted collect the bottle back. And also your worker wanted from my mother to sign a document that she won't ever enter this filial again ALTHOUGH SHE CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IT IS WRITTEN THERE!! She is only a human and forgot the bottle. My mother is a respectful teacher in her country and had no issues with the police until today. Your workers treated RACIST against my mother....She was a tourist here and she can't speak german. If she were a robber, then why would she buy the other things? I had to take her from the police station today. I will start legal procedures against your company. No one ever can treat an old lady like this especially who can't speak the language in a foreign country. I am sending you the bill. She bought material worth of 10,95€ and you claimed she was a robber! Shame on...
Read moreNever a nice, relaxed experience, but sometimes it is the only option.
Been here multiple times, during various times of the day, but always during a time when other supermarkets are closed. Which is the major benefit of this place: being available on Sundays and public holidays, while the prices are as they would normally be.
Sadly, that means lots of other people are heading here as well, and even though they do often limit the amount of people being allowed in, it always feels uncomfortable and cramped.
In addition, the shop's layout is horrible, with the section containing refrigerated goods being in a dead end circle that has a narrow entrance back to where the cashiers are. Cashiers are coming off different long corridors which all diverge off a main connecting corridor. As a result, unless you need only a few things that are located in the same corridor and are not refrigerated goods, you will have to go through the narrow connecting corridor multiple times, as will most of the other people there with you.
So for your sanity, please try to avoid having to come here. But, if you have to, as we all do occasionally, it is a perfectly fine option for...
Read moreEigentlich 0 Sterne.
Actually 0 stars. Probably by far the most profitable discount store in Nuremberg (in terms of sales) with the unfriendliest staff far and wide. And that in the service industry... This applies above all to the security service: unprofessional, extremely unfriendly. You just feel uncomfortable. We normally avoid this supermarket, we shop 'normally' during the week in the morning (somewhere else, of course), but on Sunday I had to spontaneously bake a cake and there were no ingredients. The entrance was unbelievable: you have to wait with at least 50 other people until you can go in. It's actually worthy of a movie. Unfortunately, lots of customers with strollers, several kids, and whole families shop there. They have obviously never seen the inside of a supermarket before, they stand around stupidly in the way, don't make any room, rummage through the fruit and vegetables, etc. With a rough hand, if you want to queue at the checkout, you automatically get in the way of the other customers in the aisles. All in all, extremely uncomfortable, disgusting, far too cramped, dirty and many customers (mostly Eastern Europeans) are already drunk in the morning and need 'replenishment' (this obviously makes Lidl happy in terms of its good sales, but it doesn't make the station and its surroundings any better). Tip: Especially on weekends, shop there as early as possible and only in extreme emergencies.
I still have a lot of respect for the checkout staff, I could never work there with all the...
