Two years ago, i was new in Budapest and this was the first restaurant I visited for a take out during the pandemic, but was extremely offended by the waiter's impolite attitude and how he pressured me and a colleague to tip him (by asking aloud, 'are you gonna tip me and how much') despite we were taking away the food and this guy didn't do anything. The worst part of that experience, he only did this cheeky act to us foreigners, and not to the local customers behind us. Since then, I have never walked into this restaurant until recently, because for a colleague's farewell lunch, and she likes their veggie spring roll. Luckily, this time, the cheating waiter wasn't there, and the server who hosted us was quite nice, friendly, and I ended up tipping him extra despite the service charges. I have no issues paying extra for good service, so long as the customers gains what they pay for, but it's not that straight forward in most Budapest restaurants. The food was ok for me, but nothing much to go Wow about. Yet, it seems the locals like this restaurant. I have high standards for Asian food due to my background, cooking hobbies, and being a foodie too. Hence, i can't recommend it or otherwise.

The service was awful from the moment we arrived. The way the server seated us was rude and unwelcoming but we were hungry so we did not leave right away. Then the server loudly complained that at a table 3 people ordered only a dessert ( later they ordered food too but they were waiting for a friend…) all this gave a negative tone already but when we got the food it just got worse. The Pho was one of the worst I ever tried the base was dull and the noodles were uncooked. The chicken also was overcooked or not so fresh, either way a really disappointing experience. It became worse when I got the “crispy pork noodle” as it was neither crispy nor pork and the noodles were a big sticky lump of noodle. The whole thing was just sad. I definitely do not recommend. I usually eat the food I order if it is not really bad but I couldn’t eat this it was so bad. The only reason it is not one star is because the lady server was nice and the place looked ok not a 1 star.

Great soup house with a great atmosphere, feels authentic, very popular. Friendly, polite, helpful staff. Service is good, depending on how busy they are could be slightly slow but it's all worth the wait. Towards the evenings it is best to book to avoid disappointment, it does get quite busy, walk-ins are still welcome though if you just want a quick soup. There are of course other dishes available not only soups. The menu is not overwhelmingly big but still plenty to choose from with veggie options too. I have ordered a "small" oriental pho soup which was a very generous portion, a lot bigger than expected. Full of flavour, very tasty, felt like a bowl of pure energy and health. It was quite filling, didn't leave me hungry but I couldn't resist to try the coconut tapioca pudding with mango and pomegranate seeds on top. It was an excellent dessert, not too sweet, just perfect. Would definitely go back again and recommend the place to others.

The very tall, thin, and curly-haired waiter is the WORST waiter I’ve ever encountered. BIG AND SMALL FLIES LANDING ON YOUR FOOD. We will NEVER be returning. PLEASE, do not go especially if you are short ASIAN and LATINA girls, the waitor was aggressive and could be a racist.

My colleague and I visited the restaurant after work and left around 8:40 pm today. We entered the restaurant and patiently waited to be seated, thanking politely the tall waitor who seated us. However, during our meal, despite there being only the two of us at the very long table, multiple waitresses and the tall waiter repeatedly approached us to check if we had finished. Them being super close to us gave the impression that they were rushing us to finish and leave. Consequently, we tried to eat quickly, even stacking our empty dishes to facilitate their removal. When we indicated our desire to pay, the waiter appeared visibly agitated, and I was a bit afraid. He came with the cheque, we asked politely if we could pay separately, he responded curtly with "YOU SHOULD LET ME KNOW BEFORE!" My colleague, who was sitting with her back towards him hadn’t heard him, innocently asked "Sorry I didn't hear you?", to which he bended over next to her ear and responded by raising his voice and shouting the same phrase TWICE directly into her ear "YOU SHOULD LET ME KNOW BEFORE!". Feeling very uncomfortable, I came next to him, said "I'm sorry, it's not a problem, I can pay" and attempted to tap my card, but he refused to accept it. My colleague felt bad for me and said she would pay. The waiter, in a condescending and arrogant manner, stated, 'YOU TWO NEED TO DECIDE!' I was so shocked that someone could be so rude. I didn't know what to do but staring at him, he said "IT IS NOT MY PROBLEM! IT IS YOUR PROBLEM!"

Please, why do you always appear so irritated with your guests, and why don't you inquire beforehand? You deal with payments every day in your restaurant, so why can't you ask? Perhaps it's because your parents neglected to teach you how to respect for others, which clearly isn't part of your restaurant's hospitality culture either. It seems you're more inclined towards creating unnecessary drama.

If you intended for us to depart promptly, why didn't you inform us upon our arrival that time was limited due to your high turnover expectations? That would have been perfectly understandable. Instead, you hovered nearby, almost urging us to finish our meal prematurely, which created undue pressure. I have never seen such behaviours in any other restaurants in Budapest.

The presence of numerous large and small flies flying around and landing in our food during our dinner further detracted from our...

Budapest still has a ways to go to catch up in terms of food quality and this restaurant is no exception. The food is good. But not great.

The Vit Mang was oversalted , the Sriracha tasted watered down and the taste altered in some way, the sauces were not great. The food probably beats most restaurants here in terms of taste. I would put it in the 85 - 90th percentile. But in new york, it would be in the 60th I can confidently say.

Shoutout to Benji! The server who makes this restaurant a delight and brings it up a star just by himself. Very kind, accommodating , and has a bright future in the service industry.

Benji and the host were a bright star in the sea of grumpyness that is the service industry in Budapest. Such a delight. Thanks Benji for your great service. I believe great service deserves an extra tip as a show of appreciation, and to encourage them that they are doing the right thing. It's really easy to get cynical in this world but some people just keep being true to themselves. Benji is one of those...
