My Wife and I recently dined at this sweet little bistro. Being Non-dairy and allergic to red meat, my wife was concerned that there might be nothing on the menu that she could safely eat. The young woman who took care of us kindly reviewed the menu with us, and pointed out items which would be appropriate for my wife's needs- offering to alter the menu to make something she might enjoy. My meal (Young Green Peas and Duck Meatloaf) was wonderful and the most tasty meal I had had in a week in Budapest. The Beer (Primator) was excellent as well. Read moreWe've used this Bistro for a number of years. After a bit of a post-Covid dip in quality, it has come back strongly in terms of good, interesting, well-cooked dishes at a fair price for the value offered.
IMPORTANT PS added 4 September 2025. Since the above visit in April, the restaurant has changed hands and is no longer a Hungarian Bistro but an Asian Sushi, Thai, and Vietnamese restaurant. The menu looked rather standard for such places but the food was well cooked and pleasantly a little bit more than routine Asian.
After the initial shock of not finding the expected Hungarian restaurant we enjoyed the food.
The website, and even the signage outside the restaurant, need updating if they don't want to confuse...
Read moreopened, and it’s become one of our favorite spots. The place recently took over an old Hungarian restaurant and now offers a familiar Asian menu – pho, pad thai, glass noodles, sushi platters.
The pad thai is absolutely brilliant – authentic, full of bold and happy flavors. The pho is fresh and aromatic, perfectly balanced. And the sushi platters are generous, fresh, and beautifully presented.
Prices are great, and the value for money is unbeatable. The staff is always kind and welcoming. Definitely a place we’ll keep coming...
