One of the oldest shopping complexes near Commercial Street, this was like the shopping mall of the 80s and 90s, located in a prime area of good old Bangalore. While some of the old shops continue to exist here, a lot of newer stores have also set up shop here.
The hall on the extreme left hand side of the ground floor is generally used for exhibitions of apparel, home linen and jewellery too. Sellers from different parts of the country, like Bengal and Rajasthan often come here to showcase their exquisite creations.
In this shopping complex, you fill find shops, both permanent ones and temporary stalls, selling beautiful ethnic wear, home linen, jewellery and other accessories. A sizeable area on the ground floor is dedicated to retailers who want to hold exhibitions and sales. Hence, the collections keep changing periodically. A Kashmiri shop, Gul, Gulshan, Gulfam, is also there on the ground floor, which sells everything from stoles, jewellery and handicrafts to exquisite carpets.
There are some eateries too in this complex, where you can drop by for a quick snack or refreshment in the midst of your hectic shopping spree!
If you like hand block printed apparel and home linen in pure cotton, silks and other ethnic products, Safina Plaza should definitely figure on your list of shopping places...
Read moreI recently visited Safiya Plaza in Bangalore and had a really pleasant shopping experience. I came across a beautiful dual-shade chikankari dress in peach and pink — a unique find that I haven’t seen on any online pages. The quality was excellent, and it was truly value for money. What made the purchase even more special was the thoughtful gesture by the chikankari seller, who gave me two scrunchies and a sweet chocolate along with the dress. It added such a personal and warm touch to the whole experience. Safiya Plaza is also a perfect place for shopping sarees and ready-made blouses — they have a wide and colorful range that caters to both casual and festive occasions. I was impressed with the variety and how reasonably priced everything was. In addition to the dress, I also picked up some cute and trendy hair claws, as they had a good selection of accessories too. The overall vibe of the place was comfortable and welcoming, making it enjoyable to explore different shops. If you're into ethnic wear or looking for something unique and budget-friendly, Safiya Plaza is definitely worth checking out. I loved my visit and will surely...
Read moreI had an absolutely terrible experience at a boutique called Red rose. You will be tempted to visit and purchase the products because of the collection but I was shocked and disgusted by their unprofessional and rude behavior. They made false promises about the alteration and any kind of service and did not deliver on their commitments. Furthermore, once I made my payment, they stopped responding to my calls and messages. The owner spoke to me in a condescending and patronizing manner, as if I was inconveniencing them by being there. It's clear that this boutique does not care about its customers or their satisfaction.
I would strongly advise anyone thinking about shopping here to steer clear and find a more reputable and trustworthy store. Trust me, you will thank yourself later for not wasting your time and money at this terrible...
