Ambiance The moment you step into Fiesta Restaurant, you're greeted with a warm and vibrant atmosphere. The decor is tasteful, with a blend of modern and traditional elements that create a welcoming environment. The seating arrangement is spacious, ensuring comfort and privacy even when the restaurant is full. Soft lighting adds to the relaxed and cozy vibe, making it an ideal place for both casual dining and special occasions.
Food Variety and Quality The buffet spread at Fiesta Restaurant is impressive, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences. From local delicacies to international cuisines, there's something for everyone.

Β Β Β Read moreToday went to celebrate 'her' birthday with huge expectations as this one comes under the umbrella of Barbeque Nation. However, my experience was below average w.r.t food quality. Below I've given the Justification for the same and also gave feedback to the manager.
Went for non-veg buffet (afternoon schedule) Costs us Rs 1800+ (after adding 2 aerated drinks, otherwise expect it to be in the ballpark of 1500-1600).
Food review-
Thumbs up: π
Fish finger (starter) was absolutely delicious. It was crunchy, hot and palatable.
Chicken wings (I guess) was super spicy but had a strange smell to it. Not the barbeque smell you and I were familiar with.
Momo: Chicken momo had a sumptuous filling and tasted really good.
Basanti Pulao: Tasted brilliant with mutton curry. Just the authentic Pulao we all like.
Mutton curry: It was tender and moderately aromatic. Though chunks are smaller! π
Ambience: Feels fresh and truly a sight for sore eyes with ample space and eye-pleasing decoration.
Service: Appreciate the fast service and well-behaved employees especially the head chef, the serving boys and manager for listening to their patrons. π
Thumbs down: π
Chowmein: absolutely bland! Need to add more flavours!
Chicken kebab (starter) had a strange smell to it. Almost that of palm oil or just kinda raw oil. Definitely not a smell of charcoal. Really bothering if you have a strong sense of smell!
Chicken curry (served in a handi) was quite average tbh!
Mutton bhuna had too much fusion of masalas especially zeera (cumin). Then the pieces they served were bony! Hardly meat was there!
Aerated drink: *Fresh lime soda was okayish! *strawberry basil mojito was a big disaster, thanks to the super fake strawberry essence!! Felt like a flavoured cough syrup π
Dessert: Another disaster! π *Moong dal ka halwa was uncooked, raw lentil smell & ghee was minimal tbh. *coconut pudding was strictly average, felt more like a jelly! Ice cream roll made in the live counter won't deserve any special applaud, thanks to the below average taste. *Angoori gulab jamun fared better, but can't beat their own Barbeque Nation's Dessert section!!
In essence, I learnt 2 things today:
The king of budget buffet (say under Rs 2000) is invariably Barbeque Nation. At least 'BBQ Nation' Park street branch, served us fanstatic food on our last visit!
'Fiesta' may equalise or fall below the quality of 'Absolute BBQ'.
Never visit Esplanade for peaceful dine-in, those who've 2 or 4 wheeler, thanks to the humongous crowd, hawkers encroachment and absence of parking place. (For parking, you need to go near Nizam's restaurant, imagine how long you've to walk in the narrow thorough fares and...

4 Major differences from BBQ Nation
Claws in place of BBQ Grill
No Prawn items in buffet
Misses BBQ Nation's signature Kulfi
Cheaper, Rs.599 compared to Rs.799 starting price of BBQ Nation
Starters (5/5)
They serve the starters treated with coal smoking method, where a small amount of butter or oil is put on hot charcoal and the coming smoke is covered with a lid that infuses the strong smoky flavour in the food. They call it claws and it elevates the taste of the starters to next level.
I swear I didn't miss the BBQ grill here; in fact, I loved this claws concept more than the grill. Smoky flavours in Chill Chicken, Drums of heaven, Chicken Seekh and Potato Wedges tasted just amazing. If they somehow don't serve these dishes in claws then just ask them and try it, you'll be blown.
Live Counter (4/5)
They had Momos, Pasta, Bhel and Puchka. Momos coating was thick and for the first time I found turmeric chicken stuffing in momo, well it didn't impress much. But the white sauce non veg pasta tasted really good.
Mains (4/5)
I didn't expect much from mains in any buffet, especially when itβs a branch of BBQ Nation. But here I was quite surprised, Chinese items noodles and sides were fresh and flavourful, North Indian items like Panner and Chicken Butter Masala were good too. Where as in BBQ Nation all of the mains are always bland and bogus. But here one similarity is present.
I believe it's time to accept that BBQ Nation and any of their branch can't cook Biryani. Their biryani might be treated as biryani in any other city, but Kolkata people can't be fooled with this. However here they save the reputation with Basanti Pulao and it was good. Mutton could've been better.
Dessert (3/5)
They had very few items in desserts. Darsaan, few pastries, Halua, Firni and BBQ's specialty Angoori Gulab Jamun. However, BBQ's most popular Kulfi were missing and fruits too, but they offer cold stone ice cream rolls but itβs nowhere near to BBQ's special Kulfi.
Conclusion
It's one of the best cheap buffets in town for now. Fiesta offers much better overall experience than BBQ Nation in terms of food service and ambiance at less price. I'll choose Fiesta over BBQ...
