Bought half kg prune kueh lapis today at Tampines mall (Sin) on 28/8/25 , the owner said use premium butter. Avoid buying guys, the taste no buttery, no lapis tasteless worse lapis I tasted ! . I dont think is freshly bake at all ! I paid S$35 for half size. I have to dump away after trying 2 slices of it. Taste was horrible! The plastic bag has a greasy smell . Worst shop and service ever, bought 2 kg of lapis from them and they told me in fridge it will last up to 1 week, the next day there were molds on the kueh lapis, all 4 packing were spoilt. They are selling old products, please avoid this shop, I had to leave to Singapore the next day and couldn’t change the cake lapis, ended up losing my money on this spoilt stuffs!!!! Not sure why is this Layer Cake Shop getting lower rating than LaMoist. I tried the layer cake of all the 5 different shops and personally still find this the best, for the less oily, less sweet and artificial taste. The price is slightly higher than LaMoist.
