Arlo Haisek — Local services in Florence

My wife was cleaning out her side of the closet recently and found Arlo’s card in her pile of stuff and I was reminded of our time in Florence when we quite literally stumbled onto his store in Oltrarno, the peaceful side of the river, in October 2019. To say we were charmed from before we even walked in would be putting it mildly…we were drawn. His studio and workshop were a feast for the eyes, and it was impossible to tell where the gallery ended and his work area began. Arlo was beyond effusive and just a really cool guy. Within minutes I was being fitted for a new wedding ring after having lost two previous rings doing work that often required me to take my ring off. At that time I was wearing some mass-produced thing I bought at a head shop or something. Fortunately our trip to Italy was barely beginning, and we were able to return 10 days later to pick up the creation he made for us, a beautiful gold ring that screams his molten melted style and it fit perfectly. He is a gracious person and intensely focused artist, all with a huge smile and warm spirit. He often very subtly applies his initials to his pieces, and you’d be hard-pressed to find them (a fun search for people when I show them the ring), but I had him do his “signature” AH inside the band as well. We stumbled upon this gem of a jewelry store by accident. I stopped to peek in the window and the owner beckoned us in. His style is so unique and exquisite. My friend purchased quite a few beautiful pieces and was very happy. Styles ranged from dainty and delicate to larger statement pieces. I loved the pieces that incorporated nature. Priced well for handmade heirloom jewelry. He has a little bit of everything...

We stumbled as well on the shop, and we had to stop by. Arlo is a true artist and his pieces are wonderful. We didn't have the budget yet to afford this quality but will be thinking about it for the future.
