Lindt Chocolate Shop Firenze Duomo — Local services in Florence

Kids had numerous gelatos during our trip in Rome and Firenze. They loved all the flavors they tried, yet they and myself voted the gelato we had at Lindt Chocolate Shop Firenze Duomo easily and unquestionably made the BEST! We tried all the five flavors they currently offer: milk chocolate, milk chocolate with hazelnut, dark chocolate, coffee and strawberry, and each was eye-opening tasty. The scoops were generous and the price was lower than all other gelato shops we tried. We enjoyed our gelatos in the in-store dining area. The rich and soft chocolate colored chairs and couches were clean, comfy and I must say appetizing. The kids were amazed that their mirrors look so brilliant and absolutely spot free! We truly felt it was the right decision to sit down there so we could fully enjoy every single bite of our gelato, so nicely satisfying. We were also nicely surprised that when we were about to leave the shop, a beautiful young lady rushed to catch us and offered us Lindors of two flavors as a treat. First impression was 'wow'. Greeted by staff with free sample followed by the 'sell'. I said I was in heaven. I am a fan of Lindt chocolate and always buy 90%. I left and returned to enjoy a hot chocolate in the shop's cafe. I planned to buy something, even though it is more expensive than at a supermarket round the corner. I stood at the bar of the cafe for a few minutes while the same staff member from earlier busied herself with putting things away and ignoring me. Finally she looked at me and snapped 'ticket?'. I had no idea what she was talking about. She told me to go to the pay area to order the drink. It was said in a hostile way with matching facial expression. I did what I was told, explaining I had not received the training required. Lindt produces excellent chocolate, but the customer service is appalling. First of all, Jennifer the greeter was amazing and super nice. I ended up buying multiple bags of the self fill chocolates and decided to sit down and have a coffee with the wife. As i approach the counter, I ask for a coffee. An Employee named Cristina replys with a question, "Did you already pay?" I go back to the cashier and pay (Cashier doesnt hand me my change back, she lays it on the counter for me to pick up.) My wife and I sat down for not even 20min to enjoy the coffee and the Employee (Cristina) asks me to move to give my seat to another customer. (5 open tables available) and people being there long before I was. I replied with, "All these tables available, Why do I have to move?" She looked away swallowing what she really wanted to say.
