I recently reached out to Torrini Jewels to surprise my wife with a special gift during our trip to Florence. I was interested in a pair of earrings but couldn’t decide on the right size. Guido was incredibly patient and helpful, taking the time to send me photos and videos of the earrings in different sizes. He even had a model wear them so I could see how they looked when worn. It made the whole process so much easier, especially since I wanted everything to be perfect.

I had planned something special for my wife on a Sunday, and even though Torrini is usually closed, Guido offered to open the store just for us at 6 PM that evening. Update: Since my below review I have purchased two pieces from Torrini remotely. The shop was very easy to deal with, and even created a ring to a special modification for my daughter. They are delightful to work with.

I was very impressed. I was looking for a gift for my daughter that would be a memoir of her stay in Florence. I started with the stores at the Ponte Vecchio but was disappointed with their commercialism — and the price to value equation didn’t seem Impressive either. (I’m not a big bargain hunter but I don’t like to feel that I’ve been silly either.) So I had the idea of looking for something around the theme of the Florin — the coin that played such a role this City’s history. An Internet search led me to this shop which has a variety of Florin related items — and much else as well. So different than the Bridge. Very elegant and, yes, somewhat reserved. The sales person may well have been from an old Florentine family, and a bit taken aback by an American who needed a haircut. But, she found me a beautiful piece at a fair price. And the package — a leather bound “book” — was truly charming and memorable. Most importantly, my daughter was absolutely thrilled — and I felt that I had found something special. I made this third purchase in July 2023 with Torrini 1369 Jewelry online after first visiting their store in person in Florence on a trip to Italy several years ago. Despite the distance and online nature of the purchase Guido Torrini and his staff were super responsive to questions I had and provided excellent guidance in maneuvering an overseas purchase with customs details, etc. They made special efforts to create the jewelry and deliver it earlier than expected. The quality of their jewelry is second to none. It looks even better in person than it does online. It was evident that much care went into assembling such a beautiful package. My wife loves the boxes/packaging almost as much as her gift!
