A Delicious and Engaging Palermo Street Food Tour with Giusi!
If you're visiting Palermo and want an unforgettable food experience, look no further than the 3-hour street food tour with Giusi from Eating Europe. This tour was the perfect combination of delicious local cuisine, fascinating history, and warm hospitality. Giusi truly made it an exceptional experience!
The tour included seven stops where we sampled an impressive variety of Palermo's iconic street foods, paired with refreshing drinks to enhance the flavors. From crispy panelle (chickpea fritters) and savory arancini (stuffed rice balls) to decadent cannoli, every bite was a revelation. Giusi made sure to cater to everyone's tastes, and her recommendations were spot on. The food was not only delicious but also felt authentic – a true representation of Palermo's vibrant culinary culture.
What made the tour even more special was Giusi herself. She went above and beyond to share not just the food but also the rich history and traditions of Palermo. Her storytelling brought the city to life, weaving together its Arab, Norman, and Italian influences with the dishes we were enjoying. She had an incredible knack for blending historical facts with fun anecdotes, making the experience both educational and entertaining.
Giusi's passion for her city and its food was infectious, and she was always ready to answer questions, provide tips for the rest of our trip, and make sure everyone was having a fantastic time. Her warmth and enthusiasm made the group feel like a gathering of friends rather than just a tour.

Read moreAn unforgettable taste of Palermo — thanks to Innocenzo! We had the absolute pleasure of exploring Palermo with Innocenzo as our guide, and it was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Sicily. From the moment the tour began, Innocenzo brought the city to life with fascinating historical facts, colorful stories, and an infectious passion for Sicilian culture.
He took us to multiple local spots that we never would have found on our own — from bustling street food stalls to tucked-away gems serving homemade Sicilian treats. Every bite was delicious, every sip perfectly paired, and every stop was filled with warmth, laughter, and rich storytelling. We tasted everything from classic street food to sweet, lovingly prepared desserts, and we left not only incredibly full, but also with a much deeper appreciation for Palermo’s history and spirit.
If you want to eat your way through Palermo while learning about its unique past from someone who truly loves and knows the city — Innocenzo is your guy. Grazie mille for an...
Read moreHi , We had a fantastic experience on our eating Europe experience last night in Palermo. Our guide Bennie was so friendly and knowledgeable about his home town and the food that was being served. The food itself was all delicious and it was great that we were able to appreciate some Sicilian drinks as well. We particularly liked the pizza making experience and the end product. Perhaps to improve the experience in the future, consider including a salad to cleanse the palate and bring something lighter into the mix. Also rather than focus solely on the tomato/eggplant/anchovies as your 3 signature ingredient consider including a fish dish to create variety. We also suggested to Bennie that he give a small map of Palermo with the restaurants marked so that people can find them again easily. With thanks...we had a...
