Stayed here 23-27 June and loved it. Initially we were a bit worried what we had let ourselves in for as the entrance is off the street and down an internal corridor past the back of a restaurant and some offices...but once we got to the room we were very pleased. We stayed in room 3 I think, which had a very handy table and stools that we used for our complimentary breakfast. There are pastries, biscuits, butter, jam and milk a Nespresso machine and a fantastic milk frother, so you can easily get yourselves a good breakfast before a busy day stomping round the city!||||Carmella is wonderful, really helpful and full of local knowledge that you don't always find on the web. It was my birthday while we were there and she left me a bottle of wine in the room! She played a big part in making our stay very enjoyable.||||there is a gelateria, a traditional Italian restaurant, a fab pizzaria all just outside the door, plus an amazing salumeria tht does some gorgeous paninis to eat in or take away.||||St Peter's is about a 10-15 minute walk, depending on how slow you have to move through the heat, with Castel Sant Angelo about 3 minutes down the road and over the bridge.||||Via Vittorio Emanuelle is just outside the door, so lots of buses to choose from to get round the city. ||||Piazza Navona is about a 10 minute walk, Pantheon about 15 minutes or so. You can either turn left out of the door and take a quiet back road, or turn right out of the door and take a slightly longer route, again down a quiet back road. Lots of restaurants and bars on each of the routes, If you go down the route to the left, there is a Carrefour supermarket about 3 minutes away...it's not cheap but it's handy and has a good selection.||||We loved our stay here and, as always, were very sad to have to leave to go home. This was my sixth trip to Rome and I still cannot wait to go back and discover...
Read moreExcellent location just across from the brigde at St Angelo Castle. Rooms are designed with taste, while the furniture is new. Water, coffee, tea, yougart, cereals... almost all you need for the breakfast, eventhough we had also included a coffee and croissant just around the corner. Room cleaning is done on a daily basis (new towels & refresh the bar and fridge). A bit of noise coming from the restaurant downtairs, but it didn't bother us as we were almost asleep while coming in the evenining in the room. Our triple room was oriented towards a very small courtyard affecting the sun light in the roome - again didn't affect us as we coould sleep enough in order to start fresh in the morning the pedestrian trip in Rome.||The owner was very helpful arranging the transfer from the airport . Of great support was also Carmela - we were leaving notes in the evening and she was solving it next morning. ||Downstairs are 3 restaurants with great fresh food. Across the street there is a pastry with pizza slices (I didn't like it too much) and...
Read moreThese are apartments for rent and Guido delivered great communication with us. When our flight from Barcelona was delayed, he kindly sent us instruction for self check-in. We had two rooms, each one with a double bed: room 2 and 3, close to each other. Getting inside the building could be troublesome if you don't pay attention to the instructions for entering the codes. Both rooms were small but clean and included mini-fridge and coffee/tea stations. There were also cards to go get a basic breakfast at nearby Bar Tassoni(walking distance, 1 or 2 minutes the most). Great location, we walked our way to Castel St Angelo and also to Vatican City. I only wish there were caddies inside the shower; I know, they're small but there was no space to put toiletries(included) while showering. Shower was a challenge! However, I highly recommend this lodging place. ...
