My father almost died here. We are from Canada & care standards in Canada we found are superior in every way. The lack of cleanliness, staff not washing their hands, no hot water, no hand sanitizer in sight was disturbing. Nursing staff wearing dirty gloves to reach into communal supplies, contaminating everything. They seem to wear gloves to protect themselves missing completely they need to protect patients. Male & female patients shared rooms with no privacy. Soiled patients would be soiled for 9+ hours. Zero assistance with feeding, my father starved. My father was sedated and restrained without notifying me. My dad is typical great health and mind, this was unacceptable. They botched his urinary catheter & silenced his call bell… I snuck into the unit in the morning (cause they aggressively restrict access to patients) and my father was in excruciating pain. The catheter was misplaced and he required emergency surgery to drain him, he could’ve died and they ignored his call for help like absolute monsters. I watched these nurses not only have the most unhygienic practices I’ve ever seen but I watched them be so rough and uncaring. I cried every day that my dad was there, I begged our insurance to get him the hell out of this place. They refused to disclose information to the insurance company and refused his transfer. They finally agreed to transfer only if it was to another one of their facilities and we prepaid almost $7,000 euros. I not only hate this disgusting facility but the nursing staff that mistreated my father should not have jobs and shouldn’t be allowed to take care of animals let alone people. The doctors and nurses that feel that you should only be able to see your family 3 hours a day, when we have to do all their personal care ourselves should be patients themselves. That’s what you deserve, be isolated, alone, mistreated, and malnourished. Karma will reach every single one of you and the leadership that oversees this nightmare of a hospital I have no doubt a special place in hell is reserved just for you. After witnessing the health care in Rome I would recommend if you need care you book a flight. The staff here would never be able to practice in our country with the poor standards and ethics we seen. We have so much gratitude for our health care system, I feel sorry for the people in this city that this is what they have to turn to when they need help or...

I might update it again if they improve. The receptionist at ambulatorio where the gynaecologst is is very rude. As I was going out maybe she thought I don't understand Italian she was talking about me and the people there were laughing. I really felt horrible yesterday. The best department since I started visiting is the where you do blood test. Very kind people. I went for visit yesterday,:they were so rude. They said they felt my baby's hear eat buh honestly I didn't hear anythg buh I just couldn't wait to get dressed bcos of the nurse's face and her mode of behaviour. Gosh. This is why I am not comfy with a female gynae;some or most of them attimes make you feel horrible. I was about to ask questions on my baby the next I heard was wait wait wait wait and l couldn't again. I know they are working extra time buh I think been a medical doctor is a sacrifice and a passion.Anyways I miss d male gynae that has been sooo kind, he trys to make me feel at comfy when he talks and explain to me. Yesterday I was full of doubts. The female gynae said she wasn't going to gimme appointment bcos the staffs have alot of thgs doing. And I have 5 weeks to put to bed. I think I am going to change hospital;I don't think I can continue with people like this. How will it be if I am in labour with these set of nurses and doctors? Before now a blond doctor in the scan department made gest of my surname, she wasn't joking at all. t's crazy. Though I will miss Dottor Paolo Gastaldi. He is so kind, a professional indeed. He deserves an accolade and thousands stars....

This is the worst hospital , wouldn’t even call it a hospital!! Arrived by ambulance ( whom were very nice and caring )but arrived at hospital and was totally different ! Im from Australia was at termini , Roma about to go on a train and slipped at the station , the staff/ security there at station were great ! At the hospital from beginning to end , I wasn’t spoken to the best , most of the staff 80-90 percent were like this , my doctor was quite nice ! I’m in my 50s and was one of the youngest there , the rest were a lot older than me and are all treated badly. The staff were all talking to each other or raising their voice at each other , or just in a bad mood , or they would all hug and kiss each other to greet just in front of everyone ! When was spoken to was just rude , not caring at all !!!!! It was more like a playground with adults if you ask me . I wasn’t offered any pain relief , had the worst headache from the fall no pillows on the beds all lying flat , I had a neck brace and was hurting me the whole time leaning on my head where I had fallen , but nobody cared I wasn’t checked out fully !! Dirty just looked terrible , Had confrontation with a nurse that wanted my daughter to wear a mask when I had said no as Not many were wearing one , not even half the staff , !! So it’s one rule for all I said !! She then told me why did I even go to Italy !! How rude !! The rudest I have come across ! Need a change of staff here...

The hospital is VERY dirty, the staff wore grungy, wrinkled scrubs and no gloves. There was no cleaning of surfaces or equipment between patients. There was no handsoap in the bathrooms. I was "parked" in the hallway along with other patients for 7 hours with no privacy, unable to get a pillow or blanket and stuck in a wheelchair, unable to be put on a gurney even though my leg was broken. I was offered only one Tylenol for pain. There was no waiting room for my family. They were directed to sit on a bench outside in the cold, rainy weather. The staff handled me roughly. As I was leaving, a hospital staff member stood and smoked next to where I was parked in my wheelchair. The nurse forgot to remove my IV until I was in the lobby, where a doctor carelessly walked into my broken leg as it was extended in front of me. As I waited for the IV to be removed, I was put in a room with 4 beds, one occupied by a woman who was coughing constantly. Another woman who was next to me in the hall was put in traction for a broken knee. The traction equipment fell on her and crushed her knee.

Sono stata trasferita qui all'Osp. Santo Spirito dall'Osp. 🥰🎉
