We arrived at the restaurant and ordered a pizza 8,50 euro and salad 10 euro a beer 6 and wine 8. I was showing my partner photos from our beautiful day at Vatican City and I knocked over my beer. The table was on a slant and was wobbly it was going to happen. The waiter embarrassed me by shouting unbelievable. Someone else spilt their drink as well behind us. The pizza arrived and was of poor quality and the salad for 10 euro was 6 slices of tomato a piece of lettuce each and 3 slices of Mozzarella. The waiter gave me another beer with out asking me and letting me know I would now be charged for two. The table next to us was upset about forced tax and tips and the waiter was so rude to them. The lady on her own behind me had only American Express and was told she could use it and then when going to pay they refused. So I offered her money to save the embarrassment and shameful behaviour of the multiple waiters. There was an American Express sign on the door. It was time to pay and they asked for a tip and I refused to pay it they had also charged me for two beers which was a bit out of line considering the tables were so unstable they were happy to blame me however. The service was so horrible and I have never seen a restaurant be so horrible to tourists wanting to enjoy a quiet lunch with their families. I will never eat here again and would never recommend this restaurant to anyone until the staff change there attitudes towards their customers. Disgusting behaviour and is not somewhere I...
Read moreReally bad food. I ordered a spaghetti al scoglio, and I guess this was how it done: the “chef” unfrozen the seafood from the freezer, removed the sauce to use for other dishes, boil pasta, add dry seafood into it, some drops of oil and a lot of salt and some water, mix it and done. To be honest the frozen one from supermarket tastes much better, that dish simply tasted like dry seafood mixed with water and salt.
Pizza was terrible, in the menu there is a pizza "hawaii", which no italian will eat! We ordered a capricciosa and it is NOT capricciosa at all, imagine a pizza with a big piece of salame in the middle, I almost laughed out loud. And after I come back to where I live I talked with my friends from Napoli, the comment from them was: “why you didn’t throw that pizza on the waiter’s face?”
The piece was dishonest as well. We ordered 3 pasta, 2 pizza, 3 antipasto, 2 beer, 2 bottle of water, in general it should cost about maximum 120 EUR, they charge us 163 EUR, and ask for tips. When we ask for details on the recept only 1 line,...
Read moreDuring our 2 week Italy trip I pretty much ate pizza once a day and in our final day we stopped in Rome. We walked through the city and decided to stop at this location since it seemed to be busy. I usually check reviews before eating, but did not this time. I ordered the house wine, which was good for the 7 euro price and a pizza. The pizza was the worst I had while in Italy and gave me heartburn for the rest of the afternoon.
Additionally, before writing this review, I read some of the previous ones which talk about the menu price and actual price for meat not adding up correctly. I witnessed this while eating today, the table next to us ordered meat and then learned the price was nearly 4 times the price on the menu. They ended up cancelling their order.
There are so many good places to eat in Rome, I would pass on this one.
The only reason they're not getting a one star is because our waiter looked like Pat Smear from the Foo Fighters, and...
