Third visit and I finally met Tina. Yes, I travel to Rome because I love Tina's pieces that much. My experiences were a tad different this time.

I've always worked with Giorgia, who is Tina's spunky red headed assistant. This time I had the opportunity to work with them both. A great team indeed!

When you enter her shop look for your likes first. If you don't see your size don't worry about it. Tina will alter her apparel.

Sizes are inclusive! Six mos. ago, I entered her shop 10 lbs thinner. I was concerned I wouldn't find as many choices to compliment my larger size. Not true. She made it happen! I felt beautiful. She sewed a snap on my top while I waited.

I learned she has twins, which of course added to my excitement level as I am an identical twin.

Original review: I enjoy fashion and I was on the hunt for some new gems to add to my closet. Tina Sondergaard checked all my boxes. I can wear her 1950's style skirt with a blouse or my Rosie the Riveter t-shirt.

Where to start? I read about her boutique in a blog when I was planning my first trip to Rome. I fell in love with her apparel. Her pieces are reasonably priced, considering the quality and custom fabrics and styles. I want to say I paid on average $100 usd per garment.

You'll find 50's style dresses, slacks, blouses and skirts.

The fabrics! They're absolutely stunning and custom created. I bought some pieces from her a year ago and they're still beautiful after several outings and washings. I had to have my pants hemmed when I returned home because Tina was out of town. Normally. Tina hems and alters her apparel for her customers.

I did personal message Tina Sondergaard's FB page to ensure store hours before planning my trip. I'd recommend contacting her boutique about available sizes before going in if you're traveling a long distance. Her shop is about a 15 minute walk from the Roma Trenitalia.

I could probably leave a very exalted review, how magical Tina’s atelier is but that would not describe this great experience I had today in her shop. First of all - she’s a true professional and artist in one person. Second - clothes designed by her are not only extraordinary in designed but above all - with all those beautiful patterns which in some cases were also designed by her. Third - the whole concept of slow, responsible fashion is what adds additional value. Local production (some of the pieces have been made by Tina herself!) and Italian fabrics of the highest quality make each dress, skirt or jacket not only unique but also responsible. The beautiful window display caught my eye when I was walking past, and I'm so glad that I decided to stop in. Tina's boutique is, in a word, stunning. Her handmade pieces (from custom-designed fabrics) are exquisitely created and carry so much craft and character.
