Spritzeria Monti Rooftop — Restaurant in Rome

Edit: No, I wasn’t in a “wide open area”. We were shoved in a corner so that there were walls on 3 sides of us allowing for ZERO insulation. And when I asked about it, your server pretended to be clueless. So do not try to gaslight me or lie about the situation. Taking off a star. Ps, my stay the hotel wasn’t great, clearly.

Drinks & food were good but they let people smoke in the inclosure. 2 people sat next to us and were told they had to use this cigarette cover things which where great but then the couple behind us were allowed to smoke freely in the area that does not have any breeze. It made me so sick. We were going to have more drinks but we had to leave because it smelled like I was smoking it myself. We are staying in the suite and so far while the room has been nice, all the other accommodations (bar and restaurant) have been very poor...

So, this is one of those places where you have to be "let" in so to speak. We went for my daughter's 21st birthday, I found it based on the address and it appeared to be a restaurant on street level. When I inquired as to where it was, the waitress was kind of hush, hush and said she would have to call. We were nicely dressed and I think she gave us a once over before calling. We were told we could go up but would have a table for only an hour. I was excited to see the view since it supposedly stunning. It really was more of a roof top bar with a nice atmosphere. Super interesting location.

Drinks : Ok-ish. The Campari wasn’t really balanced and surely a place that is called “Spritzeria” can do better. The mojitos were good.

Staff: Really nice, professional and welcoming. They forgot part of our order but these things happen when the venue is packed as it was when we were there.

Location: Being a rooftop one would expect a “wow” effect , but it’s just a regular view on normal buildings. Though the place shines with the decor, interesting colours and forniture. It has a really good vibe and it definitely is a place where you can go to enjoy a cool evening.

Price: Ok. 10€ regular drinks and 12/15 the more complicated ones. Given it’s centrally located and on a rooftop,...
