I was here today, and honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever felt more ripped off in my life.
Let me start with the service: they don’t even bring the pizza menu unless you specifically ask for it again. It’s almost like they’re hiding it on purpose. We were a family of four and ordered just one pasta and three pizzas. The pasta came in an absurdly small portion — it could barely feed a child — and it was outrageously overpriced. The pizzas? Also small, bland, and absolutely not worth what we paid.
The entire experience screams tourist trap. It’s clear that this place is designed to target people who don’t know the area and will overpay without realizing it.
On top of everything, they added a service fee without informing us — which is illegal if it’s not mentioned on the menu, and in our case, it wasn’t. We ended up paying €112 for 4 underwhelming dishes and just two drinks. I genuinely left the restaurant still feeling hungry. Yes — I came in hungry and left hungry, and €112 lighter.
The staff weren’t welcoming or professional — in fact, they seemed uninterested, untrained, and even annoyed by customers. No smiles, no warmth, just cold and careless service.
The food itself was nothing special at all — completely forgettable, poorly presented, and nowhere near the quality you’d expect for these prices.
This is not a place that cares about food, service, or hospitality. It’s a money machine, and nothing more.
If you are rich, clueless, or desperate, maybe this place will seem okay to you. But for anyone who values their money, their time, or their taste buds — stay far away.
There are plenty of restaurants nearby where you can eat better, be treated better, and actually feel satisfied at the end of your meal. I wouldn’t come back here even if the meal were free.
Strongly NOT recommended. Avoid this place...

This restaurant is located right off a main water taxi stop in Venice, so it gets plenty of foot traffic—and unfortunately, takes full advantage of tourists.
My teenage daughter and I stopped in for a simple pasta meal and left with a bill twice the cost of similar meals we enjoyed in Rome, Florence, and Monterosso. The male server was very smooth and full of flattery—clearly part of the strategy. I asked for a glass of wine and was aggressively pushed toward buying a bottle instead (something our table neighbors said he had done to every table around us including them). I tried declining but he continued to pressure so I changed tactics & went with a cocktail, which ended up being a huge mistake.
My €13 Old Fashioned was absolutely awful—overloaded with bitters, lacking sugar, and hard to even sip without gagging. I politely asked if they could balance it with some sugar syrup and was told that the “Italian version” didn’t use sugar. He then offered orange juice instead, which I accepted, only to be charged €6.50 for a tiny glass—not even fresh-squeezed. For comparison, I paid €3 for a fresh orange juice at a beautiful café in Monterosso overlooking the water.
When I questioned the charge, the server looked ashamed and offered two free shots of limoncello as a peace offering. Our bill also included a €4 cover charge (per usual) plus a 12% service fee. My pistachio pesto penne was €27 and clearly not made with fresh pasta.
I should have known better, but I’m writing this review to warn others. If you’re into flattery, a decent view, and wasting money, this is your spot. Otherwise, skip it—Venice has plenty of better, more honest places to...
Read moreThis is what we get for not doing our research first on this platform. We knew going in that this restaurant was for tourists given its location but didn’t mind in this instance. However, when we sat down the only Italian waiter seemed to want to talk us into getting the most expensive steak and veg on the menu at €90 for 2! He didn’t seem to want to let it go and then seemed put out that we had no interest in that and just wanted pasta. We had a lasagna and a meatballs which were really nothing special. Yes bottle of water was ridiculous expensive. The interesting thing was the Italian waiter or more the head waiter or manager strong armed us and other guests in writing reviews!!!! He literally came over and swiped a card over my husbands phone to get the google review thing up and stood over him and insisted he put 5 stars for everything and write something positive and even took his phone to take pic of the restaurant!!! He did this to other patrons too as I watched, literally hovering and checking people to make sure they do 5 stars!! So any good reviews cannot possibly be legit. Of course we could have said no but who wants to cause a scene. The bill came and yes 2 lots of taxes and they didn’t give me change so we paid €18 in tax and tip!! I should have read reviews before we went in have learned an expensive lesson here. I am sure it is lovely in summer for a quiet drink or apertivo looking over the bridge but be warned this is a very expensive restaurant when there a plenty of others to choose from. I...
